Nice graphics although i believe a CRT monitor or one of the new ones 12bit display's would be much more appropriate .

+ The combat feels the same on the PC, can't comment for the consoles.
+ Even on medium settings, the graphics look decent and similar to DA:O set on high.
+ The armor design is better from what I've seen
+ Rogues have some new animations that look awesome, like kicking away the stun grenade.
+ Every menu is accessable from a different key on the keyboard. No oblivion here, thank god.
- The new darkspawn look terrible.
- The animations for 2 handed warriors look terrible and are unconvincing.
- The dialoguewheel looks and feels out of place, I really dislike it.
- Some of the dialogue is really awkward. Example : "You will not have him. They will not have you."
- The UI is extremely bland and feels more like something that belongs in a sci-fi game than a fantasy game.

While not happy at all for the hack&slash I saw, I'll have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the interactive movie elements
+'s
* cutscenes.
* trying to experiment with an interactive move.
-'s
*no top down camera.
*graphics are mediocre, though I reserve judgement because I haven't seen it with everything maxed.
*combat is **way** too easy. In another thread I said that wouldn't be a prob but I had no idea what I was talking about. The game can be finished on auto-pilot.
Only part where pressing "R" does not solve everything is the ogre fight. I put no gear on, half of my talents were utter bull and still that went smoothly (with Beth
soloing the Ogre + 2 darkspawn, AI is too weak there).
*It's a hack&slash, beyond any doubt.
*the correspondence between wheel options and what's actually said is ****ed many times.
Overall it felt like a rushed job, sorry Bioware. DAO was much much better

Other then that the story seems a bit made for the player to be warrior or rogue. Beginning with the sister was far better then with the brother in my mind so I think I will put of the mage until second or third play-through here. While Hawke did use magic as well in cutscenes I sort of got the feeling my character would rather had a sword and to stab them instead.

Since the counter is for EA-account logins, the download count shouldn't be relevant, right? Creating an official torrent would help immensely to distribute it reliably.

It's exactly, and I mean exactly how
puerile, simplistic and tediously violent as I feared it would be, in comparison it makes Origins look like some sort of restrained, thoughtful magnum opus.
I hope you like to mash your A button and see AWESOME STUFF! happen like YESTERDAY dude! because that's what your gonna get, in spades, even Hawke moans wearily "another wave" upon
sighting darkspawn as if somehow the character himself is aware of how tiresome this game is.
The combat itself, ubiquitous as it undoubtedly will be, is a busy but lacklustre affair where you press A
repeatedly until somebody falls over, interspersed with deep tactical decisions such as 'should I press Y now or in a second'?
It's also monotonously difficult as the enemies are damage sponges and though
you're clobbering them over and over again with a comically oversized sword their health bars are positively glacial in depleting.
At one point my whole team was getting bodied by the ogre fight until, with only the mage left I kited the darkspawn away and around the narrow corridor of gameworld. They dutifull trotted after me around and around
as I turned and dropped fireballs on them.
I don't know if the spartans would have approved of my questionable bravery but this AI is dumb as a
brick.
Some other stuff happened, Iunno, there was a boorish dwarf with a pencahnt for murdering petty thieves being interrogated by a seemingly bi polar woman of extremely dubious acting ability and whose
hair colour inexpically changed colour at the end and some dark skinned woman with breasts, it's pretty bad.
I'll rent it.
peace
/agree with everything u said.
Btw did the same thing with the ogre, kited it round&round with Beth (no need to go down, I went down at first but later realized round&round is enough) and killed it with fireballs.

What I saw is a totally different type of game. It's an interactive movie and it's clearly hack&slash.

There is a thread for this..... also, you do realize that the demo is on normal, right? It is meant to be autopilot, as to not indimidate newcomers.
