Its a sad world when you realize your desktop computer takes 3hrs to download the demo while your mother's laptop can download it in 12minutes.

Every second 3 - 4 persones start downloading. And now their number is over 382000. I think, two - three days and bioware will get what it wants.

Finished the demo. What Can I say, I'm not amazed but nor am I dissapointed. The combat was Ok I suppose, much more active than in DAO. It's pretty fun. The game itself from what i've seen in the demo is losing a few rpg elements. I know ME2 and DA2 are completely different things but DA2 improved in a similar way ME2 did. The dialogue is what turns me off a bit, it's like in ME2 now, 3 choices (good neutral bad) and some investigation/question options. Can't say I wasn't expecting that with the "dialogue wheel" and all. With this kind of change from DAO's a lot of dialogue choices, to this mass effect style is kind of sad Imo. But Oh well it's just the demo and what else can you expect with a voiced protagonist. Other things I can't really point out, the graphics improved and are looking much better now, can't say much about the story but it seems to be fairly interesting.

In three hours the demo will be available to PS3 users outside North America. Expect another bump in downloads.

I thought the demo was pretty cool though I am not keen on the new interface... it lost that whole "fantasy world feel". Combat pacing for auto attacks feels just a touch too fast... almost like a side scroller fighting game. The thing I was probably most put off by was the changes to dialogue. I'll say that I've never played ME or ME2 but frankly I think switching over to that style of dialogue interaction was a step backwards. It really feels like it takes away my input by limiting the options of what can be said. I guess I can understand why it's done that way since the main character is voice acted but still... it just really feels like its taking something away from me compared to DA:O

That said... I really like how they changed the progression of skills. I like the graphic upgrades and I thought Flemeth looked AMAZING. Game play felt a little unresponsive at times in the demo but that might merely have been tactics or some such interfering. I liked the new auto attacking animations... it would just be nice if there was a way to slow them down a tad so it felt more rpg rather than street fighter.

I'm still looking forward to the game and I applaud the attempts to advance and improve upon the game experience but I'd just like to voice my opinion that not everything needs to be overhauled every time and sometimes some options which add to one game can detract from another (referring to the dialogue wheel).

hmm not very happy bout the game the game play is kinda cool but why nit make it more the same as DAO the looks ar to hyper it is like we ar playing a game in the year 2500 the looks ar allmost the same as ME1/2 not cool it,s cooler if they keep the graffics the same as DAO

BTW wtf is happend with flemmy she looks more like darkspawn then human it is not cool
in the demo you dont know she was flemmy only afther she told you this is stupid i wander how morigan looks like

I liked the demo (then again I am a HUGE mass effect fan), the only complaint I had was potions had a cool down that kept killing my characters. I hope they fix that, otherwise Heal needs a cool down time of 5 seconds.

Congrats to Bioware for they can turn a legend game into a brainless console game with no need of tactic and with the difficulty of "walking in the park".

Complete bull****. This is not DA2, this is wonders of Thedas.

It has been showed and said multiple times you can play tacticaly. And it's on normal diffaculty in the demo, for people who arn't that good, the actual game still has hard, which they said was on par with the PCs hard, and then they also have nightmare still.

I had trouble downloading it last night on the PS3.  Actually the trouble was I didn't know where to begin to look for it.

I found playing origins on PS3 more of a challange than on PC, I have to really make use of the tactics and as a mage it's alot of pausing and locking targets or setting attack orders, hardly mindless.

and I'm really happy with the improvements Dragon Age 2 has, I can now play a mage without having to pause every attack and I have noticed the AI of the 3 uncontrolled party members is better combat is alot more fluid and it's more like Mass Effect 2 in ways and thats great, It's really nice fighting a battle without pausing once.
