Just as i thought its no where near as good as da1. Looking at all reviews its solid game but does not reach the lvl of dragon age 1.
I wish bioware would just take 3 or 4 years to make dragon age 3 since da1 was a 3 or 4 year game it took long time to make and it shows that it was given more time and care than dragon age 2.

Ugh, the demo item isn't unlocking!
It isn't, hence that's why I'm asking.Myrkale wrote...

There should be an option in Profile called "Your registered game promotions" it should be unlocked there.
No. Nothing in the demo itself says "congrats. you just got Hayden's Razor" or whateverNash Latkje wrote...

Does the demo actually confirm whether you are getting it or not upon completion?

I downloaded the demo a few days ago on the 360 but I was reading the many different opinions on the game here whilst it was downloading and I was very much of the opinion that Bioware had managed to do to Dragon Age 2 what they'd done to Mass Effect 2, ie dumb it down, make it flashier and try to appeal to the console generation who apparently only like FPS games and don't have any patience and zero attention span.
After playing the demo though, I was actually pleasantly surprised that this didn't exactly seem the case though. Sure the animations during fights have been made glossy and imo over-the-top and everything is happening a LOT faster but it does still feel like Dragon Age. There is still some depth to it and the demo isn't a fair representation of the full game, so I'm hopeful.
I didn't like the new combat animations personally and there feels like there's no contact between your character and the enemy you're fighting. Constantly mashing the 'A' button is awful too, so I'm hoping that an auto-attack will be in the full game, it'd be a bit of a game breaker if not. The character models themselves are much more detailed and if it weren't for the silly animations (what's with the way Lady Hawke runs???) then I'd say that the graphics overhaul was great.
In all, I'm glad I pre-ordered it but am still very much concerned with the direction Bioware seem to be taking towards simplifying their games and dumbing them down. They need to do more (imo) to keep their old school RPG fans loyal as from what I read on here, there are an increasing amount of us that are giving up on them and that's sad, as I've always found the depth of their games (especially all the little background details) to be far more immersive than most of the others out there.
Thanks for the demo Bioware and here's to hoping that the full product is as great as we hope it will be.
