For the people griping about the story aspect of the demo:

You do realize that in this demo they gave you a look at the very beginning and then a glance at something just a little bit later. Little snippets of the game play do not give one a full grasp of the story. And so what if a dwarf is narrating... a dead Warden narrated the last one. :P

Oh No! It's been dumbed down. I'm not pleased from what I've seen in the demo.

I'm going to have to move DA2 from "Must Buy" to "Maybe Buy".
I should have known this would happen after ME2, but I still had hope for a complex and enjoyable RPG offering. Looks like DA2 is a Hack/Slash Adventure.

It looks like my only remaining "Trusted" developer is getting struck off the list if ME3 is still a TPS.

UG. They destroyed the great look and feel to this game. It's a freaking action game with RPG elements. I am SOOOOO glad I difn't pre-order. Thanks for a demo so now I know I can pass on this crappy looking POS. You've fallen so fare from the first game. My money is going to The Witcher 2. I hope you don't **** up Mass Effect 3 the way you did Dragon Age II.

You do know Witcher 1 & 2 are action RPG's right?

Why did they have to screw it up? It looks like cartoons running around. Oh, and another chance to spend a lot of time figuring out how it all works. (whats with the ability trees or what ever their called)
Damn it I was so looking forward to settling in and enjoying the latest offering not spending half the game learning how to use it..., off my list, sorry.

It's a sequel, not a DLC. Every sequel has changes but these are not nearly as drastic as you'd like to believe they are.

I had a lot of doubt and ill feelings when I first learned about the design changes in store for DA2. I stand corrected ...after playing the DA2 Demo, I actually had a lot of fun and felt the new art direction was much better than I would of thought based on the stills we first were shone.

I've pre-ordered and am now very much looking forward to playing the full game!

Warm Regards 2 All :)

Loved the demo. I only wish the screen were bigger so I could really appreciate the abilities and attributes I was picking when it was time to level up my character. Hopefully this will be rectified once the full game comes out.

I played both PC and PS3 version, both seem quite identical, although the quicker combat and additions such as combos suddenly make more sense on the consoles, I actually found I was enjoying combat better on the PS3 version and this is coming from a long time hardcore PC gamer. I think it's going to be a fine RPG, but I don't consider it Bioware worthy, it looks to clunky and bland, and I certainly miss that Bioware magic for some reason.

<_<

but in witcher you knows from the beginning it's one and  a game they take 3 year and half to make (cdpr is a new developper they did only one game  and what game best 2007 rpg and witcher 2 is a whaoooo for all the video writter who play it (for the graphic yes  because it's the beautifull rpg game this year i think ( or skyrim) and the story is complex 16 ending  you couldn't do all the game the first time you do it  because part of the game  are closed because of faction and the story because of the  book is as complex as the lord of the ring. like i say earlier  da2 is a good rpg for that i buy  it but bioware game have less and less magic than before they does good  game but but not  the best like before ( i know it's because of ELECTORNIC ARTS policy before bioware was buy it's wasn't like this) cdpr for now are all fan who work for the fan and more and more people like this because  all people say and their forum count for the next game or to  a extend edition.it's like the food the biggest compagny isn't always the best because of standardization.( sell the most for the less price)

Ok. I registered especially to give my feedback. I played demo yesterday.
Judigng after demo DA2 will follow ME2 game style. That is NOT what I was looking for.

What I don't like:
- Forced race.
- Too much combat. There are hordes of monsters and a lot of fighting , seems even more than in DA;O which had it too much.
- Combat is too arcade, too quick, and becasue of that for me boring. No auto attack like in hack& slash games. Overall too much emphasis on combat.
- Annoying for me , too frequent cut-scenes.
- Inability to see sentance your character will tell. wheel with 3 faces and 2-3 words is offending. Sorry.
- Always 3 options in dialogue. Seems whatever I choose effect is the same.
- Not impressed with graphics.
- No Isometric view.
- Too simple character development.
- You cannot die, you ressurect automatically if even one characrer survives combat. (same what I didnt like about DA:O)

Overall. Too much emphasis on action not enough on story , world and rpg.

I am sure many will enjoy this game and it is good. Have a nice time really :)

But for me it is not CRPG anymore. I was looking for slow paced game, with lot of options , as much unlinear as possible. Vide: BG, BG2, Fallout 1&2 (not Fallout 3!) and in lesser extent DA:O.

DA:O for me was compromise between rpg and action.
DA2 for me is not compromise even thou I am sure for some other people it is.

Well , I really (no irony) hope that those who will buy will enjoy this game.
I won't buy it. And it seems Bioware made it's choice what genre of games it want to focus on.
Cinemtatic like action games with small rpg elements. Unforunatelly not what I am looking for.
Have fun and see you.

EDIT: I wanted to post this into feedback thread so mod you can delete this post if you like.

I'm kind of disappointed with this demo.
It doesn't feel like dragon age anymore with the fast-paced action and the ME2 dialogue sequences. Seriously, short little blurbs do not count as a conversation.
The hud felt like it was designed for console gamers, but it's tolerable. Another thing was how you appointed points in skills and attributes. It just felt out of place and belonged more in the ME universe.
I enjoyed the demo... somewhat. Don't want another ME2 game, already got one(I even ordered ME3).

Well, I've already got this game pre-ordered, can't do nothing bout that. If there is a next installment please don't f*** it up.

Hello fellow DA lovers, I recently started a youtube channel with my friend. I only recently started a playtrough of the DA2 demo, 2 vids up so far. I also plan to start a "Lets play" of the the full game when it comes to europe. I would greatly appreciate it, if any of you would take the time to check out my videos, and tell me what you think.

Also if any of you enjoy minecraft or Black ops, you find videos of that to, if you decide to check us out.

Heres is a link to my first DA2 demo video:

In advance, thank you Image IPB

Is Hayder's Razor only avaliable for the PC? I don't see it listed for the console under "registered game promotions."
