I'm in Korea and everyone in Korea who's trying to download this demo gets super super high download speed until it stops at 30~40% range. Hey Bioware something is wrong with this.

Might not be just Korea but most of South East Asia, seeing the same thing happen in HK. It'll happily download upto around 500 to 800 mb of the file and then just stop!

Anything counts, you will need to sign into your ea profile for it to count.

It's not the actual download which gets counted, it's the amount of EA accounts which register as being used in the Dragon Age 2 demo, so in short.. yes.

Hang on, so to get the two free items, does it need to literally be one million downloads from Bioware's servers, or will it count if I download once, give the file to friends and family, and they use their EA accounts to sign on/register/whatever it exactly is you have to do when you get the demo?

They will not count it this way. The way they will do the one million count is by the amount of people logging in to their EA accounts while playing DEMO.

Hmm, I started my download fifteen minutes ago (finally got through the busy-server errors) and it's now telling me I have about an hour remaining. It's on a consistent 435ish KB/s. But I'm using Free Download Manager, so the download is split into parts to make it quicker. And it is also supposed to make the download resumable (from a post in another thread, I understand that, by default, the demo is not resumable.)

Thanks a lot for this! It's only 3 hours for me now. Compared to the previous time it's a great time!

That took me only about 50 minutes or so on Steam.  Their servers seemed to be holding up quite well (by comparison, I started DA2 first, and it still 2.5 hours estimated, despite the Shogun 2 demo being 2.5-3 times larger.

Well i'm downloading, it says now I have 5 hrs to go..haha goes from 3hrs to 5hrs...can't make up its mind!! Oh wait...now at 7hrs WT?? Usually everything downloads so quick, with the demo in high demand its clogging it up!!
