I think I saw in an interview somewhere that companions won't interact with each other in that way, but they'll speak up to interrupt your conversations and stuff.

I think the better question is will companions get jealous of your relationship with a diff companion?

To that I'd assume, and hope, the answer is yes.

We know that happens in one case at least. But that may have been because they were pursuing another romance simultaneously.

Highly doubt it, but it would make for interesting sub plots. Say you like Leliana, but so does Alistar. You can pursue the relationship with Leliana but youd eventually lose Alistar or make him fly into a jealous rage and attack you if you flaunt it, or something.



TBH I hate that kind of drama though.

Well, they had companions falling in love with each other in Baldur's Gate 2 (which incidentally made having a romance with particular characters more difficult depending on who was in your party), so they might have that here too!

I doubt it.  They will have some basic relationships with each other, that will play out in banter between them as you travel (like Morrigan and Alistair making fun of each other).  But I doubt they'll get romantically involved, or even their relationships will evolve much (Morrigan and Alistair will probably be antagonistic to each other the entire game).

I, for one, refuse to poke JEBesh' masculinity. No amount of pharmacology aid could ever erase how dirty I'd feel afterwards.

It's been awhile since I played it, but couldn't the bard fall in love with the wingless winged-elf girl in BG2? I seem to remember him wanting to duel me for her or something, but I played that game ages ago.

I love banter! I love parties that recognize and acknowledge each other! If they enjoy each other's company--and especially if they don't!



So it really doesn't matter to me whether they could actually fall in love, so much as just express whatever feelings they do have loudly and frequently (and in as many variations possible). I especially like 'character development' that might alter their previous opinions (regarding racial biases or what have you) as they get to know and respect each other.



You know, like Khelgar moaning about obnoxious tieflings all the time, only to be the most concerned when Neeshka disappears. ^^

You are correct! I had a female PC so there wasn't any trouble in that regard, but I did let the whole thing play out (took forever, too). She really went through some interesting changes, grew a backbone, for instance---not at all what I expected from her! But the actual Haer'dalis/Aerie 'romance' was kinda meh.
