So, it's still installing, so not gone from the forums yet.



What I did was use a download accelerator on the Gamershell Netherlands mirror. It opened up 7 simultaneous connections for 3.2 mB/s + speeds. Total download time was 7 minutes.



Just another option for those who do not want to torrent.



And...it's finished installing, so really gone this time. Good luck with your downloads everyone!

Yep.  I've torrented plenty of stuff, and never had any problems with download speeds before.  It's always been up to and over 1MB/s.

34 seeders (finished d/l already) and 1178 peers (still downloading) - Please remember to keep seeding it, at the very least to a 1:1 ratio . Download usually finishes a lot faster than Upload!

Im getting around 1mb/sec using the mirror. I just installed the internetdownloadmanager which someone recommended earlier. Im not sure if that made a difference, or just downloading from gamershell. I was getting 50kb/sec from the bioware site earlier

Guess you'll never play Blizzard games then. All their digital version games and patches are distributed via TORRENT!

Atm I only play games from steam and DA from the EA store.

No worries. If you ever decide to play World of Warcraft, Starcraft II or Diablo 3, Blizzard has its own Torrent program. They call it "installer", is very small and works just like any other torrent program except that the only torrent file it will share is from Blizzard.

Tried that, too.  Had my upload limited pretty low, and still nothing good for download speeds.  Wish I could get this working as well as others have had it.

Torrents suck.  You're better off downloading it directly from an alternate site than EA.  I got 346kb and rising.

Well, there are many other small stuff you can tweak but it's too technical for this thread, perhaps? Try Utorrent website and their tips about d/l speed. But speed usually starts slow and grows to the max you can get.  How many seeders/peers are you getting?

Freaking upload at 600 kbps and only downloading at 262 kbps. I'll keep mine seeding for a couple of hours.
