Getting 2.2mb/s from the Akamai link. I applaud bioware but I won't celebrate until I see it actually sustain those times.

Thanks for the Akamai link. I'm currently speeding along at 1.6 mb vs. 80 kb from EA site.

It may sound a little facile, but be sure you have a download accelerator if you can use one. I started without one and was looking at a 7 hour wait downloading at 50-100 Kbps. Do I got the FireDownload addon for Firefox, and now I'm getting 1.8-1.9 Mbps and will be done in less than 15 minutes.

Wow, the akamai links are actually good. Getting 600-800 KB/s cs EA's 70-80. And I live in Hungary, Europe.
Giva a huge applaude to Akamai, whatever the hell that is.

Well, I keep jumping between 40 and 90 KB/s. I max out at 630KB.
My only concern is that this will cause the download count to NOT meet 1,000,000.
.
Not sn issue. According to the Call to Arms page, they count you when you run the game while logged into your EA account. Where you download it from has no impact.

The EA download link disconnected on me at 1.4 gigs, the Limelight at 400 megs. This is frustrating =(

The EU link fell down to bit over 150KB/sec. Too bad...

Use a download manager (like GetRight) to avoid disconnects. Seemed to have helped some people. It also should be faster like that.

ooh! this one's even better. I'm back up to 2.0mb/sec.Jesse.Reid wrote...
For anyone in North America finding LimeLight slow you can try these links from Akamai:
English
French
German
15 minutes to go. That looks alot more appealing to my eyes, than the '11 hours 23 minutes to go' that I was getting from the EA site. lol

Looks like it helped when I paused and resumed the download in firefox.
I'm back to normal 1.7MB/sec again.

I personally have switched to the one on RuTracker (~800 kbps now, same speed I got from Limelight but no risk of disconnects), but it won't be of use to anyone outside the CIS, I suppose.FxHSnake60 wrote...
