No, its just a missing DX component that needs installing or updating...don't really know. But it works!

I was also having this problem, despite having DX11 already installed. The advice above solved my problem though. Thanks very much

The game does support DX 11, you can check it in the configuration box. If ypu accept the directx update during game install you need to browse to the install folder and open: Dragon Age 2 Demo\\\\redist\\\\DirectX and start DXsetup.exe to actually install directX.

The installer of the game doesnt actually install directx, it only puts the files on your system.
