After my demo a trailer showed and it said:
Pre-order now to receive the Digital Head Start.
WTF is this? O_O

I believe it's talking about the Fadeshear sword, Lion of Orlais, and the Black Emporium, which are only available for pre-orders.

That doesn't really make sense. :\\

Can BioWare tell us what's up with this?

What pre-orders are really supposed to be about - playing before anyone else?

I came to the forum with the very same question. I will even pre-order the game for a couple of days headstart. I mean, who cares about items, right?

These are the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais items people get when they pre-order Dragon Age 2.

Ah. So we still wait like everyone else until the release date in order to play?

Breathing deeply, arms shacking after playing the demo, it took a while for that to sink in, so I came to check, but it seems nothing official so far

Yes I just payed attention to that message as well, I was a little bit disappointed, I already had a pre-order since last year from EA and was like: "What the heck?".
Glad he cleared that up, but honestly, they really should have worded that better,

Yeah i was like "Head Start? So I start ahead of everyone who doesn't preorder?" And why did it say "digital" head start? Digital as opposed to what? That's what made me think that i could play it by digital download before retailers sell the disk. Very confusing, Bioware...

Someone fire the person who chose that sentence!!
Or don't... since he has been working on the game and stuff... but you get the point

I agree, headstart implies early access, not preorder items, so silly.

I ditto the above statements! I was so excited, like we were.going to get the game a day or two early, but noooo. That's LOOT or ITEMS or "a special something extra", BioWare!!! The definition of a head-start is GETTING TO START PLAYING EARLY!!!
So disappointing!!!

Aaaw. Also thought it meant that we who actually pre-order the digital copy would get in a bit earlier. Well well....

Lol, yeah... I must say that confused me as well. But whatevs. Im so jazzed about the game after the demo now, I'll excuse a stupid error or two.

I was thinking it would be something like the character creator that was released from Origins. That was my best guess...which appears to have been wrong...

A head start... we get better items at the beginning of the game is how I took it.
