What are your PC specs? This can help us to determine the issue you are having

Information about your computer.  What processor, how much RAM, what graphics card, etc.

I'm in England too and it was running fine on high settings, minus one crash.  I've only been using DX9 so far.

It's the components in your computer.

The CPU and the video card are the two most important to know.

You can find both names if you run a program called dxdiag from the windows start menu (just type dxdiag into the search/run field and press enter).

The CPU, or processor, is in the first tab and should start with either AMD or Intel.

The video card name is found under the second tab, most likely begins with Nvidia or ATI/Radeon.

1. When you start the Demo, click on the button that says 'Configure' (top left)

2. Under System on the left hand side, click on 'Summary'

3. List off the information seen on that screen in a reply to this post

Thanks.

I'd suggest playing on Direct X 9, and definitely choosing the lowest settings.

Your demo should have saved to Program Files/Dragon Age 2 Demo  Look for the Launcher Icon.

Simply close the config utility and the pop-up should come back with the 'Play' button on it.

Honestly with those specs and your experience (it's slow) I wouldn't suggest playing the full game on your PC. My experience with DA:O is that it was reasonable at the start but as the game progressed it became too slow to play.

I finished the game once but afterwards I got the 360 version. I would get a console version or upgrade your PC, but I wouldnt recommend playing through the entire game with those specs.

My configuration exceeds the recommended and I am getting graphics corruption. Basically black triangles, on the floor. FPS is way low.

My specs:

i5 750 2.4 Ghz
Nvidia GTX 460
4 GB RAM
Windows 7.
