Ok, waiting for somebody else to take action. Since I haven't bought the game which obviously won't run after the demo didn't, I can't even create a thread about the problem by forum rules.
P.S. I see that people are reporting problems in the General section, too, and it looks like I can post there. But I'd better wait for somebody else who bought the game, a case of an already bought game not running would look more urgent to Bioware.

Official Support, including a Chatline, is handled by EA. Read Chris Priestly's pinned message about that at the top of the DA2 Tech discussion forum. But that is for owners of the actual DA2 game.
Demo not work too.

I understand, but does it mean that I have to buy a game that I know for sure doesn't work? There is no warranty that they fix it if I buy it and post in that forum. Maybe they will just say: sorry, it's really a sse2 problem, but we aren't interesting in fixing it, buy a new processor, goodbye. Or maybe they even completely ignore my thread, not all threads get replies as I can see from reading that forum. I'll wait, surely there's somebody else who wants it working. *cry cry*Gorath Alpha wrote...

I'm going to pick up my copy in about, eh, an hour. If I run into the same problem, I'll make sure to carry our thread over to the PC Tech support forum. I think it's probably locked until you register your game to your name (which I'll do when I get it). So if I don't see a thread over there in like two hours and I get this damnable error too, I'll start it up over there and link to this old thread, since it's apparently the same problem.

Rifster, you may want to go and use the EA game support reporter. At the bottom of the forums under "Help" there is "BioWare Game Support." If you go to that link it's the EA support page and you can report it from there. If you do so and do the live chat with a support person or whatever, I might suggest linking them to this thread since it's got a lot of information in it.Rifster wrote...

It's true that you can't post in the help forum unless you own a registered game. Please don't forget to inform them about our sse2 suspicion!

I've started a thread over in the PC Support forum ---> http://social.biowar...0/index/6414339
Please head over and lend whatever support you can to help bring attention to this game-crippling error.

Been working with this demo.First i didnt notice that when debugger hanged there was that error box open. After hitting ok it gives same as watson.I dont know why watson doesnt get that illegal instruction. So i deleted every PhysX files and copied all PhysX files from Bulletstorm. Now debugger stops again after cudart32_30_9.dll but no illegal instruction,it just opens that error box. After ok same.Changed back original PhysX files and again illegal instruction after cudart32_30_9.dll,opens error box and after ok same.So it is something to do with cuda and that illegal instruction(c000001D) is sse2.So far i understand this.Find out that some people got almost same error with Bulletstorm,i didnt but there www.unigamesity.com/how-to-fix-failed-to-initialize-physx-error-message-in-bulletstorm/ two fixes.
Somewhere was used with dao older 8.x physx drivers, but i havent tested those yet.
And can that "Failed to initialize Eclipse" be this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eclipse_%28software%29??

As for what Eclipse is, the game engine that DA:O used was called Eclipse. DA2 uses Eclipse, too, but it's modified. (found out all that from wiki)

For those of you who haven't bought yet and aren't unless this error is resolved, if you guys could write up a post something to the effect of "Please fix this so I can buy and play the game" I'll c/p those over as well. We're not getting any attention on the other thread yet.

Anyway, three new games, similar physx problems and different specs. This should still be Ageia PhysX.It could work.
SteveGarbage yep i wont edit it.
One thing came in mind.If it is trying to use GPU PhysX.

My post for copying over:
I didn't buy the game yet because the demo didn't run for me with "Error initializing PhysicX", and people who bought the game said that the problem persists, so once it's fixed I'll gladly make a purchase. I'm following the thread to see when and how the solution comes up.
My specs:
Windows XP SP3
Athlon XP 2700+ (ran DA:O just fine)
RAM 3gbs
GeForce 6600GT AGP
(the last one is below reqs, but I'm going to ask my cousin for borrowing her superior AGP videocard once I buy the game, it's listed just to show the full setup I used to try to launch the demo)
