I downloaded the demo on firefox and googlechrome but everytime i try to install it i get an NSIS error. I dont even know what that means ! How do i fix this?

It's not dl'ing the entire file for some reason. You'll have to dl it yet again which is what I'm having to do.

Same problem. I downloaded again, and disabled antivirus and firewall (I read somewhere about it) and not added any new segment on my DownloadThemAll. I do not know if it was because I was lucky of for those reason. Anyway I am installing right now the game.

You should not disable your antivirus or firewall for any reason when connected to the internet, even when not browsing. Hacking is a constant threat, and script kiddies will go giddie with glee when they find all your ports opened.

Same error.  Attempting re-download, another 5hrs and 9min...

My guess is the server is too overloaded so is skipping bits of data on random downloads.

You guys may want to try a mirror file hosting website, such as Fileplanet. Unfortunately the official demo page has no links to these, so you have to search them yourselves.

I did the dl on firefox and got the error myself. I'm trying a mirror site dl to see if it works.

Ok I've re downloaded it 2 times and its still not working. Any other suggestions?

Am getting this error too, So mad right now...Spent 4 Hours basically wacthing the download. only to get this error. Using Internet exp to download on Windows vista 64bit and trying to DL again...Now i have to go to work for 6 hours... knowing my luck this DL will do the samething. /WRISTS

I've started the file planet download and its moving pretty quickly so i have high hopes.

Bioware should have zipped the file before posting so that it is less likely to become corrupted during download. This is getting silly, I'm on my third try...

Get the torrent from gamershell, its much faster and easier. I was able to download in 48 minutes compared to 8 hours from bioware website.

Ok, File planet is much faster. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the counter for the poeple who download DA2 demo goes up by a couple hundred every few seconds.

Steam has the demo, not sure if it is a ton faster/

I've tried from fileplanet with fileplanet's download manager, Bioware's european link with internet explorer AND downloads express, and the demo link given on the main page with IE multiple times. From about 20 minutes after the demo launched 'till now, and ALL OF THEM give me the NSIS error. A bit over an hour 'till midnight now. This day is pretty much ruined.

clicking the eng version download button on biowares page caped my dl to 4.1mbit the 6 times i had to download it just to get the nsis error.

but after i copied the dl url:

"http://dragonage.bio...dn=L&server=na"

i got 9.1 mbit dl speed and after a few (5) tries getting nsis error i switched "cdn=L" to "cdn=H" and i was able to install it.



yeah i dont know if switching the L to H or copy/paste the url was the reason for it to download faster or for it to not get the nsis error.. but since it did work i recommend you try it.
