Tried it twice, errors both times. File Planet ws much faster to DL and it works.

downloaded from DA2 site and file planet multiple times same error trying steam hopefully its more reliable

Is it not downloading it all because of how many people are downloading? And we are supposed to 'save' or 'run' this file?

Edit: trying file planet myself, kbps is going from 60 to 600 back and forth so I dunno if it's working good or not.

Downloading from FilePlanet seems to have worked.  I'm installing it now, and haven't received any more errors about an incomplete file.

"windows cannot run this file"


edit: nevermind it is still downloading in the manager, but it had minimized so I thought it was done, it wasn't.

clicking the eng version download button on biowares page caped my dl to 4.1mbit the 6 times i had to download it just to get the nsis error.
but after i copied the dl url:

i got 9.1 mbit dl speed and after a few (5) tries getting nsis error i switched "cdn=L" to "cdn=H" and i was able to install it.

yeah i dont know if switching the L to H or copy/paste the url was the reason for it to download faster or for it to not get the nsis error.. but since it did work i recommend you try it.

OMG THE COPY/PASTE WORKED!!!!! I tried the L to H first and it didn't work, but the Copy/Paste did!!

Don't cry! I was sick with frustration until I read another forum. See the forum: d3dx9_43.dll Issues *Working Solution*. I followed the steps suggested by: first, DeeCruise, then Dubya75. It worked, I swear. Apparently, it all had to do with DirectX.

It finally worked for me when I downloaded the demo through Steam. So those who use Steam should give that a try.

For those who have Windows 7, I fixed the problem, simply you must trick instalator, that it would see that you have another system. You must open properities and run it in eeee... how it would be in english... in compability mode with any another system (it worked for me on XP SP3)

Delete the file you unzipped.
Unzip it again, make sure you have no background programs running.
Rename it DAdemo.exe
