Not strictly a fix, but a workaround until it gets fixed (unless it isn't already).

Also, I think everything in this demo comes with a big fat "this is an old build" disclaimer. For all we know they've already improved this in the gold version.

If you're pointing at the side menu as a cutscene begins it can stick there. It doesn't fade until the scene ends.
Definitely hurt immersion once or twice when people are talking and there's text stuck to the screen. Probably related to the loading issue.
