I had same problem here , I just turned off the V - Sync and it now works like a charm!
Loading in the middle of a cutscene?

So did they pinpoint this problem? Can I run DA2 retail with V-sync without having 1-3 second pauses between every dialogue? It's a bigger problem than the dumbed down combat & dialogue IMO. Although, the removal of iso view is a pretty big one for me as well.

This issue is very annoying and I noticed it the first time I played through the demo and it continued to happen throughout the next 3 play through for the cut scenes only.

So has there been any other news regarding this issue besides the anecdotal quote that was posted before. DA:O UE had loading problems for me too where the game would freeze 5-10 seconds randomly while loading things from time to time. But having systematic loading problems like in DA2 would be way worse.
This is the only real hurdle to pre-ordering it for me.

Same here. Not a single cutscene loading since disabling v-sync.

Mine was doing that initially. I then updated my video drivers once again... you need to do this quite frequently anymore(usually once a month).
That seemed to fix the majority of the problem with mid-scene loading. It would still do it occasionally, but wasn't nearly as noticeable as the first playthrough.

Anyway, the demo was terrific, but did they cut some stuff out for it? I distinctly remember the Live Q & A a few weeks ago, and the scenes where they met Isabella were actually being played through. In the demo we viewed it as a cutscene. That, and my characters jumped from level 2 to around level 6. Not sure if that's because of a time jump or skipped material for the demo.
I didn't read the whole thread, so sorry if someone answered this yet. Yes, they skipped over a chunk of the game. The level and gear change are one cue. Another is that the transition between the game intro and the Isabella scene isn't a true in-game cutscene - it has subtitles even if you turned them off in the options, and it has Carver even if you have Bethany in the actual demo (and once the 'cutscene' ends, and the Isabella mission starts, you have Carver or Bethany as you should). Basically, the demo has two segments: the game intro up to meeting Flemeth, and the Isabella mission as a taste of what the game feels like later on.

Still waiting for confirmation as to whether I can run V-sync without getting the dialogue lag in the retail version.

Turning off V-sync solved the problem for me as well, but obviously, screen tears come along with that. Bumping for possible confirmation of being able to V-sync without the dialogue lag.

Disabling V-sync only made it better, not go away for me.

Yup. the loading while in a cut scene was one of those "WTF is this crap?" for me as every time it'd happen, it would have things pause for that 1/2 second while it loaded things up. Normally, this would be okay, if it did it at the beginning, but it does it DURING the conversation.

What I find strange is that I can run the actual game in max possible settings (for me): 1440x900, 8xAA max (and with that I mean "Medium") graphic detail DX9. It is very smooth and never stutters. Then comes a dialog and it takes 2 second to load lines??? WTF?

I dunno if it's allowed to ressurect old topcis but I've seen other 11 month old topics so yeah here it goes:
I'm having this issue in the Legacy DLC, the main game works fine, but in the DLC it won't go through.
It started happening when you talk to the aluries guy or something, the old warden commander.
Each time after that too, and after you beat the darkspawn magistar boss, I was gonna talk to aluries agian and then it never finished loading, it's been ****ing 16 minutes already....
Now I can redo the whole bossfight again and then probably freeze again :/
Playing max settings, DX11, Hi-Texture pack, no mods, resolution 1920x1080.
Game breaking since I can't continue the DLC I just bought.

Edit:
Vsync was apperently already turned off / I never turned it on.
Edit2:
Apperently a ragequit fixed it, went through without problems now.
