The PC toolset would be very useful in this. The ability to edit lip syncing and total character movement (cinematic feature) could - with the right person behind the storyline and animation - be better than Red Vs Blue. Anyone who is in Scotland and has this in mind, i would gladly donate my ideas and my voice acting. Voiceovers are in the short list of my talents.

I am sure we will get many great Machinima out of this game. You could combine this with excellent video editing and compositing to get an even better looking film, you just have to find the right skills.

Based on this being possibly the single most powerful game toolset to be released in several years, I should think the Machinima genre will experience quite a boost in the near future ;)

I was looking over the wiki the other day and geeking out over FaceFX. Just one of many powerful tools the toolset offers us. I cant wait to get my hands on it.

I agree entirely. And shadow I apologize again. I hope we can remain civil.

People like us who enjoy playing computer games often become good at the things involved in making computer games. Some are good at programming, some are good at art and music. I myself am quite talented with voice acting and story/charcter development.

We should try to get some people together in a sort of machinima based community. With the right amount of brain power, we could have a hell of a project.

Why don't you make a group or a project dedicated to Machinima and see if anyone else is interested.

That is definitely a great idea. I'd love to do a machinema, but I'd probably be best for creating the music for it.

On a side note, if you fancy doing voice acting, Nexus_Void, why not sign up to the Voice Actors Guild or get yourself on the VA Samples Database.

I'd love to do some Machinema music, though, anyone out there who's thinking of trying it.

I would but i don't know much about that sort of thing, if a community did ever spark i could certainly help with storylines and voice acting. I'm considering getting the PC version of the game but I reckon my PC needs a bit of customizing before it would work.

I'm actually doing a home learning course for computer game design atm. I did human psycology for interest reasons. But computer games are my real passion. It's like art in my mind. But i'd love to do some voice acting for creative reasons. If you're good at music you could deffo get a job composing for games. Big money in that.

Hehe. It's not quite so simple. It's big money for the big shots, like in anything. Generally it takes years of work, a lot of luck, the right contacts and no small skill to be successful. It's partly why I'm here, hoping to make some contacts and why I find the social site so exciting. It allows for a really good concentration of creative people and excellent means for them to communicate.

Your right Vormalon, composers are responsible for the mood, excitement and atmosphere of a game. Without that, we'd be back to the boringness of Snake.

P.s. Metal Gear Solid's soundtrack is mind blowing.

If people do cutscenes for their modules. Wouldn't it technically be machinas? Well with an interest for screenwriting and movies in general. I'll be sure to sign up whenever there's a chance.

This is one of my greatest interests as well, to watch as well as create machinimas with the toolset! I think people will be able to produce stunning cutscenes, series and movies with the cutscene editor and good voice actors.

So since no one has done it yet, I decided to make a group for everyone interested in Dragon Age machinimas, whether it be watching them, creating them, voice acting, etc. =]

Dragon Age Machinima:

Feel free to join! =]

I'm actually already writing out a screenplay from a short story I wrote. I've got two ready and will be showing it to a few friends and random people to see what they think. If its a good reaction i'll be trying to start a small series on Youtube.

Its actually the Main reason i'm buying the game now. :P

Creating Machinima with the toolset is the only reason I'm interested in it... I may not even actually play the game, being too caught up in discovering the toolset and making movies with it... :)
