so here is the deal
i started the game, went directly to options and maxed everything out and i saw i couldnt put the graphics on very high setting, so i exit the game, went into configurations in the setup menu and put it on very high on there. so this is what im getting as result and painfully low fps, something around 10-15 max. ( im guessing the black shapes are because the tesselation is removed from the demo on very high )

Image IPB

now im wondering are my low fps because there that some of the settings have been disabled or is the game really this laggy?

also im running the game at high with AA x4 and the other thing on x16 and having 35-45 fps ( this is what i also get while playing crysis maxed out )

( and those who want i can upload a gameplay footage of whatever class/ gender u want on youtube )

@DonKaran: Try to turn off anisotropic, it may improve performance, by the way DX11 is bad implemented.

It would be easier to assist you if you included some information about your system? For example, what kind of video card you're using, which driver, etc.

It was the same for me with the low fps and the fragments. I switched back to DX9, et voila! I hope this problem is specific to the demo.

System specs: i5 750 @ 3.2 GHz, GTX 460 1G, 4 GB 1600 Mushkin sticks.

Bioware said DX11 was not supported in the demo. The fact that we can select it as a renderer does not necessarily mean that all the DX11 assets are present. This is likely what's leading to bugs and frame rate issues on machines more than capable of running this game at high.

I have the same problem. I've maxed everything and my FPS is very low, and it looks like on your picture.

I've:

- Intel i7 930 2.8GHz

- GTX 480 1,5GB

- 6GB RAM

I should be able to max out this game.

I hope from the bottom of my heard you are right

I think bioware ilustrate DX11 with al of his features enabled. In the demo we don't have all the DX11 features available, so BioWare says no DX11.

my specs are

gigabyte gtx460 1gig overclocked to 765 core and 2k memory.

6 gigs of ddr 3 1333mhz

intel i7 3ghz quad core

also having a crappy monitor with only 1440x900 reso max

i can run crysis on max setting with 35+ fps

battlefield on max about 60fps so i dont think my hardware is the problem here

Bioware has created a thread confirming basically what I said, everyone can relax now. :)

Don't use DX11 setting and see if it improves.

im good on running the game with dx11 on high tho, anistrophic on max aa x4 and having around 35 fps
i only hope you are right that its not fully supported so i see some major frame rate improvements when the final game comes out.

Not to be a downer, but running with DX11 as the renderer, with 4xAA and 16xAF, and high settings (very high isn't chooseable from within the demo) the demo is running perfectly on my system.  I have an i5-760, a 6950 2GB, windows vista 64 bit.  I'm using the 11.2 driver.

Are all the people reporting issues with the DX11 renderpath using nvidia cards?  Which drivers are you using?

u can go into the configs before u click on play in the settup menu and there u can choose very high settings but as result u will get the same thing as in my screenshot

Locking this thread. We have posted a Sticky Note Thread below which states Dx11 isn't supported for the demo but will be for the main game.
