Honestly, this talk about Isabela drives me nuts. Isabela isn't a sexualized character. Isabela is a sexualized PERSON. It's not feminist to say that women should have to wear habits and be modest, is it? This is just who Isabela is, she's not this way to please any man.

Why else would you dress like that if you want to be treated like a person not a object?

Because it makes you feel empowered, pretty, and awesome, and it gives you power over men who you can use for your wishes.

Power over men you can use for your wishes? So either a succubus or a b!tch.

So if a girl wants to look attractive she's either a **** or a succubus because all women have to be prudes? Unfortunate implications there. Double standard too, if Isabela were a guy with little clothing and was a hunk of eye candy we wouldn't have threads accusing fanservice and ****tiness.

To be honest; I like how Isabela looks :?
look in Origins at Morrigan, her top was very revealing; so people shouldn't really complain THAT much about Isabela's outfit.

And look how Flemeths nunga nungas are all squished together, ready to burst out of her new outfit
o.O

I just can't wait for the game and get to know each character better ^_^

Remember guys, if you can see a woman's breasts or thighs, you don't have to think of her as a human being.

It never feels good when you think you're being patronized, but I'm not entirely sure this is the case here. Her personality was always flirty/loose even when she had normal proportions.

If you think a woman desiring to be sexy makes her an object, you are a sad, sad little man.

I think it is pretty clear that Isabella is fan service of the first order, at least as far as appearance goes... but I trust the writers to come up with depth as well. Odds are if you go through her storyline you will find she is three dimensional (in more ways than one *grin*).
Itkovian

Fan service? You mean like Morrigan... and Leliana... and even Zevran for the gay gentlemen among us?

This is not new. :D

I was not complaining about it, simply saying that we shouldn't be surprised if Isabella is so... generous. :)

That said, I don't think every LI character is necessarily fan service. Leliana, for example, would hardly quality at first glance. Unless you mean that simply being appealing to a subset of player means fanservice, in which case everything is. :)

But Isabella, however, is obviously designed to appeal to the testosterone-laden masses. My hope is that her storyline will prove her character has great depth. Who knows, maybe she's a trap: a stereotypical "babe" look that hides a deep and engaging storyline to show those attracted to the game due to her appearance the value of good storytelling. :)

Or maybe not... but either way I am confident her storyline will be interesting.

She should wear pants in public. Other than that, I reserve judgment.

Huh... I don't know what kind of nerds you hang out with, but Merrill is way closer to the dreams of my nerds. Nerds don't want supermodels, they want someone they can have sex with both in real life and in their D&D games. Trufax.

I see what you are getting at, Tali and all that, but I think teenagers will be more pulled toward the tanned lady with the huge breasts than a little elf.
A little elf that looks like a little girl, which is pretty creepy if i may say so.

Who says you don't have to work for Isabela? Just cause she'll sleep with you easily (and no one knows she will), doesn't mean she is yours. More than likely, she could give two ****s about you in reality. Actually winning her over would be more work.

Women don't play video games, so men obviously couldn't be designed to please them. That, of course, means that any man that wears revealing clothes in a video game must either be a barbarian, or gay. The methodology by which these designations are determined and appellations handed out is yet to be discovered by science.
