1. You will need an MD5 checksum program of some type. If you have one and know how to use it, skip to Step 5

2. Microsoft has an MD5 checksum program for download, called FCIV. You can download it from here:

http://www.microsoft...63-7365c1686c08

3. You will end up downloading an 116 KB executable named "Windows-KB841290-x86-ENU.exe"

4. Run the program. After several prompts, you will be asked where you want to extract the files. Put the files into the same folder in which you downloaded the Dragon Age II Demo.

5. Open a command prompt in the Demo download folder. You can do this by pressing the [Windows Key] + [R] and enter "cmd".

6. Change the current directory to that of where the Demo and the MD5 program exist. If you are currently on the C: drive and need to go to "D:\\download" enter the following commands:

C:\\Users\\test>D:

D:\\>cd \\download

D:\\download>

7. If you are using the Microsoft FCIV checksum program, then enter the following command to validate the checksum or your Demo:

D:\\download>fciv.exe DragonAge2Demo_EnEsItPlRu.exe

Replace "DragonAge2Demo_EnEsItPlRu.exe" with the name of your downloaded Demo file.

8. If you are using another MD5 checksum program, you will have to consult its help documentation to determine how it functions.

9. The checksum process can take a long time on a 2 Gig file. Here are the Dragon Age II Demo checksums:

DragonAge2Demo_de.exe
cd7d011eb82605cbc15520c9f9bd6cce

DémoDragonAge2_fr.exe
cb97f5acfdda210989427abdf07077e1

DragonAge2Demo_EnEsItPlRu.exe
020bb0a659adbc8ca41103c2acba9855

10. Compare your checksum with the ones above. If they do not match, the file you downloaded was corrupt and you should seek a different download source.
