They said they improved it and it really is nice; very powerful, versatile....archery and bomb specialist looks like a very good option,possibly....anyone liking archery as well?

I know. I felt like I was literally sending people flying with my arrows, it was awesome.

I was planning on playing an archer, and the demo definitely reassured that plan.

I was planning on a mage but the demo is making me really rethink that...maybe Archer all the way!

Archer Rogue was the first think I played to see how different it was and I was very pleased, I liked it more than playing as a Mage, which is kind of weird.

I was worried about it at first because the enemy archers were really slow at firing and fought back like wimps. Once my Hawke got her hands on a bow, I was pleasantly surprised.

I haven't gotten myself to play rogue yet (just finished mage and warrior), Varric was awesome in battle, indeed.

Archery was the bomb this time around, it honestly has me wondering if I want to play as it or a Two handed warrior.

Same as Ken, I went in thinking two handed but archery really has me second guessing. I mean 2h is cool, but when I was whistling out arrows, and darkspawn charged in, I did evade, and back flipped and then planted a arrow in a exploding darkspawn. That moment was pretty darn epic.

archery is so strong that Varric is a constant maintainer of aggro, none of my tanks could get the enemies off him teehee.

I think I'm going to mix and match some duel wielding talents with archery thrown in. I still liked getting into melee, but damn archery has improved.

I'll be kind of like an unholy hybrid between Isabela and Varric.

Mage is still going to be my first class, but an archer rogue will be my second.

Soooooo awesome.

Yes, archery is excellent. I am playing a rogue for my first playthrough and I hope by endgame I am both a competent Dual-wielder and Archer. I want to be able to switch in between styles mid-combat.

This is exactly why I'm wondering if I should even bother with a two hander, maybe I'll just do both.

The ONLY problem I have with archery:

Where is the arrow quiver when you have a bow equipped? Where is Hawke getting his arrows from?

From the same place that the murder knife is carried. If s/he told you, s/he would have to kill you. :bandit:

Rain of arrows seems almost too powerful. Try stacking Varric's and Hawke's rain of Arrows on top of each other.

Normal arrows do make enemies stagger a lot. I wonder how it works ? Do archers get a special force multiplier ?

The Archer Tank was a viable character in DAO.  It looks like he might be in DA2, as well.

Hmm, not particularly.

I was a diehard archery lover in Origins.  I think 3 of my 5 DA:O imports are archers.  But the real reason I loved archery was because of the "slow shuffling" that it took to maneuver my warriors and DW rogues into place.  I'd see a guy on the other side of the room, and my warrior would go "Sigh... gotta limp all the way over there now" and usually Leliana (who I used as an archer) or Morrigan had picked the guy off by the time I got there.  With my archers, I could avoid the slow gorilla walk.  :D

Since DA2 pretty much fixes that issue I have with Origins, I don't think archer will be my go-to class this time around.

Except you'll die really fast without heavy cunning investment. And I mean it, to keep 50%+ you need to put like 2 points every level at least -.-
