Really I'm having the exact opposite with my audio the intro scene for example I can't hear a single word being spoken no matter what I do with my audio settings or the nob on my speakers to turn up the sound.

I get an error message that something is missing: d3d9_43.dll when I try to run the demo. I have reinstalled to try to fix this, but get the same message. My PC is a Dell XPS Studio 81 with 8 GB ram and a 2.8 quad core i7 processor.

I only just started, but already I'm having an issue that I had with DA:O. The gameplay animations are too quick/choppy unless I "set affinity" in my processes for Dragon Age and uncheck CPU 1. (AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core processor 4200+ with 2 Gb of RAM; nVidia GeForce 8800GT GPU and DX9)

It seems for this condition the game takes into account any and all enemies present, no matter how far they are. Which makes it quite obviously broken/useless.

But AoE spells don't move as enemies move.

I'll add to the bugs that I finished the demo while signed in with my EA account, and didn't unlock any entitlements.

EDIT: It didn't show in my entitlements initially, but it is now showing as a PC entitlement. That's fine because I pre-ordered a PC copy, but what if someone plays the demo on one platform and purchases on another?

In the final fight, inside the chantry, the camera started stuttering whenever I moved it. That is, it would jerk to a visibly different angle with split-second pauses in between, rather than panning smoothly. I don't think it was framerate: although I didn't have any FPS measuring tool running, everything looked perfectly smooth when I was not moving the camera.

If Isabella is a rogue, as she seems to be, perhaps this is related to backstabbing? I was playing a Mage Hawke, so I hadn't had a rogue in my party through the pre-Isabella portion of the demo.

(Specs: Windows 7 64-bit, i5-2500, 8 GB RAM, Radeon HD 4770 w/ Catalyst 10.12. Using DX9 rendering.)



Tactics glitched out on me rather badly too. I only attempted to change tactics once, on Carver during the ogre fight. After first changing to different settings than I instructed, soon the tactics slots were not responding to clicks at all. I was still able to change to preset configurations, though, so I ended up just using those. I figured it was something to do with many things being disabled for the demo.

I got some strange error message when trying to log in. It goes through it about 3 times no matter if I push ignore, retry, or cancel. Basically I can't get credit for finishing.

I'm getting something similar to this. The darkspawn look stutter across the screen like mad. Hadn't tried setting affinity to one core... that seems counterproductive with a dual core

Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 4.03 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, ATI HD 5770 @ 915/1350 Mhz, DX 11 all high etc, etc

I cant remember the line but it definetly happened during her speech.

V-sync causes a huge crash at the begining of the game.

In kirkwall I can't modify some characters when I hit the "Level up" icon(the upward arrow) on the mage's potrait it display the main character and when I try to click on the other character the mod screen spring back to the game.

Another bug apparently the game doesn't like to use the potions when you use the quick buttons for them. During the fight with the ogre when trying to flee lothering I kept hitting health potion but Hawke and none of the rest of my party would use them their other abilities or attacks kept overriding the commands. Thus my Entire party wiped so seriously why release a game demo that is as buggy as what everyone is reporting?

I experienced "flickering" lighting on the character portraits and in some of the text in the menus and the background of the health bars turned pink for some reason. (The game runs smooth on my PC so far otherwise)

*Disabling Vsync fixes this.  Go figure.*

Is full screen not enabled because I've checked everything and get a small box with the game and two giant black bars on the sides? Sometimes it opens in windowed mode also with my desktop behind it, but never full screen the correct way.

So much this. In Origins, you can click on an enemy and the AoE spells will occur wherever they are. It makes it convenient so that your mage doesn't waste a fireball. Now it's "Bethany goes up to bat. She hurls a fireball. And...she misses." Oh how fun this will be for the tactics <_<

The label "Quick Heal" stayed on the screen during the cutscene with Fleming until the end of the demo. Also noticed the problem with clicking on the level up arrow while in the level up screen would kick you back to the game.

I can't get past the character set up screen. As soon as I select start new game system crashes. Have seen others online with this problem. PC version. Win 7 64

Few things I noticed and may already have been mentioned here. I played the demo on PC with DX11 enabled.



- The Tactics interface is broken. You can set one tactic but any subsequent ones are just unselectable or something.



- When clicking 'Back' from the inventory screen, Hawke's full body portrait on that screen turns purple.



- Isabela's eyes. Or her eyelids. Something is just not right when she is in an angry mood.



- Cannot center an AOE ring on someone. It has to be placed on the ground near the target or it won't deploy.



- Slight pauses between certain scenes in a cutscene.



- lol this one is pretty weird. In the one dialogue scene where we can make Hawke mercy-kill Wesley, Aveline and Hawke have synchronized blinks. Like they blink at the exact same time every time :D



Other than that everything was pretty solid. Graphics look really good on high.

1. I had the bug where Flemeth starts a new sentence before finishing the last one.



2. I had the bug where the camera started flashing back and forth after a backstab too. I did not have it at the beginning of the demo, just at the end where I was helping the big breasted chick fight off those dudes. I think it has to do with the camera trying to readjust itself in tight areas.



3. When switching between characters to assign tactics or attribute points, it boots you out of the menu and back into the game. I read above not to click on level up arrows and I'm not sure that I did every time. Even if, it's very inconvenient and should be changed.





* also, if anyone of you are crashing at the character customization screen. Turn off V-Sync, it won't crash anymore.

I noticed this too and am wondering if its related to the aggressive behaviour setting, or to a tactics bug relating to 'surrounded by'.  Drink Potion shows in the queue, but immediately gets replaced by default attack or a power.  They seem to drink one potion the first time you suggest it, but for the rest of that battle in particular, they just refuse to drink.

Even if you kite (manually run them away from a fight), tell them to drink, it'll show as their next action (beneath their portrait) but immediately they'll replace it with default attack, even if they're the selected character.

Skin textures in portraits and level up screen are BLACK. In-game, they're ok.

When I alt tab out, i can't always get back in. Had the same issue in ME1, but not in ME2.
