I had to set my speakers to maximum in Win 7 in order to hear the audio dialogue.
h/w this would render the music too loud.
So the demo audio settings I used were
1. Sound effects (MAX volume)
2. Audio (MAX volume)
3 Music (Middle Bar volume)
I also tried the "Force Stereo" option but it did not make any difference.
I also had to enable the subtitles because the audio was still very faint.
After I completed the Demo, the sound became too loud and could have blown up the tweeters on my speakers if I had not turned down the volume.

clicking on the portrait of Hawk opens its page and is easy to level up. If the level-up screen is closed and I try to click on another PG, the demo opens again Hawk's page. Clicking on the other character's portrait just makes the screen disappear and go back to the game. However, after repeating 3-4 times the correct PG screen pops up.

Where you using sruuround sound? I found that unless i set my soundcard software to 2 speakers the voices were too faint. 2 speakers sorts this out.

After he got back up the only thing I could do with him was move around and use abilities that didn't need a selected target, like whirlwind.

I exited to the main menu and startet a new game. The same problem from the beginnig.
It only worked again after I excited to desktop and ran the demo again.
Happened again with a 2H-warrior. This time it was during a fight with the hurlocks on tthe path after Aveline joins the party. But this time I wasn't even knocked back, or was I, sometimes the game is too fast to notice this. Anyhow, The cursor stopped showing the attack symbol. Luckily this time i knew about the R key and I was able to use this to attack. After the fight ended the cursor showed the dialogue symbol by default, again I wasn't able to loot or anything. I continued on my way to the emissary and when the next fight started the cursor switched back to default and remained that way. Again, only exciting the demo completelymade it work again.

I got that the first two times I started up the game.
Only had to click the "Retry" (or whatever) button and it'd start up properly.
The only issue I'm experiencing now is that the opening cinematics (EA and Dragon Age logos) are replaced by a completely yellow screen. This wasn't an issue in DX11 mode, but it's been like this since I switched to DX9.

On another note, I was unable to reproduce one of the bugs I listed on the thread title
"-Before levelling up Carver, no use skill action can be assigned even though he has mighty blow."
So I probably was wrong about that one.

Nope. Under Windows 7 audio properties, I have already set the speakers to "stereo".
I have never changed this setting since I am really using 2.1 speakers.
The audio is sufficiently loud for DA:O and ME2 when my Win 7 audio volume is set at the middle bar.
For the DA2 demo, I've had to crank up Win 7 vol to the MAX in order to hear the somewhat faint audio (voice) sound.

Hawke can't be in level up status(Golden arrow on the portrait) for this to work, I think.
Some other minor stuff:
-Sometimes after a battle some characters will get locked in "battle stance", this has happened to me 2 times, it's something that used to happen in DAO every now and then too.
-Once in the fight against Hayder the enemies simply stopped attacking right after the fight started, they just stood there and didn't even raise their weapons, only after the second wave of enemies showed up did they start attacking

Often when right clicking an enemy, my warrior doesn't run up to the enemy and attack, in fact my warrior stands still.

When i click on one tactical option on the list i hear the sound of confirmation, but it's not selected. What is interesting - everything works fine when i find a specific spot on the button, in most times only left side is "alive", clicking anywhere else will give the confirmation sound but the tactic won't be added. Only left side of the button (not even whole left side) gives yellow "light" on it (so you know you selected it). It's extremely annoying.
I tried to explain this as good as i could, sorry if someone can't understand what am i trying to say. I really hope they will fix this stuff in full game.

Also, when my characters are due to level up, sometimes I'll click on their portraits to level them and it will go straight to Hawke and not let me level them. This has happened to me only so far when I played as an Archer.
And archer is, btw, awesomesauce.

I also experience the stuttering and loading before cutscenes, I must admit that I thought the fault was with my slow computer, but when so many experience it, it may be that it ain't.
*EDIT* Audio is also very variying between gameplay and cutscenes, and I had to kick it up a notch in gameplay, and lower it while watching cutscenes. *EDIT*
*EDIT* Playing the game some more, and I have stumbled upon a staminapot bug. Avalene (or avelene, I have no idea) was not responding to my pressing the staminadraught button, but began attacking right after I pressed, cancelling the staminaclick.
