I installed it succesfully, and even managed to start it and change the settings successfully, but since exiting to save them I have been unable to start the demo again. It keeps giving me the prompt "dragon age 2 has stopped working."

Can you give us the error code by clicking "More information" please? Something like a C0000005 error means it's trying to access NULL memory, in which case try redownloading and reinstalling, and try restarting your computer.

doesn't give me the option, it just crashes before even opening

I'm just going to try reinstalling, tell you if that works

Well if the program is crashing in Vista or 7 there should be a window that tells you the program has stopped. It is there that you can see more details of how and why it happened (which is gibberish to most people).

first it says it's searching for a solution, then tells me it's stopped working, and that it will notify me if a solution is available...and only has an option to close program. I downloaded from fileplanet, any other places I could get it from?

If anyone has the same problem, I just found out the problem

When I went into the config, it said that it was on dx11, and therefore wouldn't even start the game. Changed it to dx9 and it's fine now.
