Firstly; best comment I've read on any forum for a while now, is the hats'n'Mars line. Genius. Now to business!

When I fired the demo up, I nearly scrambled for my 360 eject tray; "No!", I cried out, "I've somehow reinstalled Lost Odyssey!!". Barren rocky wastelands, slightly volcanic looking, slightly boring. It's an uninspiring (not tense, not horrific, not cool) place to begin the adventure.

Oh, and the Darkspawn? Yeah, woeful new designs. Plus, they walk like they have 'problems', y'know... 'down there'. (i didn't even know Darkspawn HAD a 'down there'... )

The blight eats the land. That's why it looks the way it does.

This.

Does also transform the geological qualities of the landscape and summon enourmous rocky boulder and mountains where once there may have been, you know, stuff?

It makes me sad to look at. That and those ugly Hurlock hats. But you can kill the Hurlocks and then they go away. You can't escape Mars.

Err.. what?

Isn't it a bit too early to be blighted?

Edit: Nevermind. Its the usual retcon.

Blight or otherwise, there was more that they could have done than just making a barren, mars like landscape.

you know lothering bothers me quite a bit, i'd like to know why why looks like a meteor hit it rather then being destroyed by dark spawn

How is it early to be blighted?

And even then, how would it be a retcon? A retcon of what?

The permanently blighted Silent Plains appear on the map to be a desert of some kind, it would seem that is simply what the blight does to the surface. As far as the lack of buildings, I guess that's a bit questionable.

I don't mean to sound harsh but you're the kind of person who is bad for gaming.

"Just play whatever they give us guys, forget the details".

That kind of attitude will encourage half finished/rushed products because drones/sheep will pay for whatever sloppy product they rush out.

For those of you who think the Blight progressed there too fast, it really doesn't look that bad. I live in Wyoming (a mountainous state in the Western US for those non-US and East Coast people who don't know) and we have land that looks much more desolate.

I think they need to work on their art direction for Blightlands.

I mean people call it "**** Mountain". There has to be a better way of representing Blightland.

Please don't spam the forums, even in an accidental thread resurrection. Thank you.

End of line.
