OK you guys rejected In game functions but why not have a separate area where some dungens can be placed or even an online gameing server which you could Raid a Darkspawn hold or an enemy villige or chastle dont just get stuck on in game Co-op people.

You're not the first person to ask these questions; do use the search function and see what has been said before.

What does the companion do outside of combat? How does that companion's dialogue work?

Well it seems most people have rejected this idea. Through this would be a harder idea to accomplis one of the compains would have to be the leader aka main character persumionally palyer one. The other character outside of combat could not do much but its dialouge might work as in adding lines every so offten to help the main charactor more information. Say your main charactor is a elf talking to a prejudice human. You dont get much out of him your partner could be a human and get a lot of information out of him. It is all how you view it.

Dragon age isn`t WoW. Plain and simple.

Never said it was. This is just suppose to be snowballing ideas and opianions. On this game and mabey furture games in the series. By the way just saying no with no reasons just prove you are a sheep following the separd.

No, it proves that you find the answer obvious. Or the question boring, but in that case you shoudn't be reading the thread.

It would be a mistake. DA2 is Hawke's story. that one character's. That wouldn't work with more than one player. Someone would be religated to just being the sidekick.

If the story was built around co-op, then sure.  However, it's not, so no.  Forced co-op doesn't work in RPG's.

No, because that would in some way shape or form take away dev time from the single player experience. If you want co-op Bioware look no further than 'Star Wars: The Old Republic'... which is in fact a CORPG (Cooperative Online RPG) and not an MMORPG.

Regardless, if you want coop in a single player game it needs to be implemented from the start and not tacked on.

What do you mean from the devolopement stage or start of the series because i could just cite the Assian creed brotherhood to dis prove that.

yes in the solo campaign but what about a seperate scection for raids or dungen run through with other palyers i agree that it would not work in solo campaign.

If the question is, 'should Dragon Age 3 have co-op?', I'd say its up to Bioware. It wouldn't affect whether or not I would buy the game if it was intended from the start of development. I wouldn't use it though, I play Warhammer Online for when I want to play with other people.

I'd love to see Bioware make an open-world Oblivion-style game and replace Bethesda Softworks as the king of that sub-genre of RPGs.

Bethesda is way to lazy Oblivion was crap on a stick. Only reason anyone still plays it is because of nude / sex mods, just check out TESNEXUS!

Can they make something better than Daggerfall or Morrowind? Doubt it.

I don't see why this causes so much hate. All That needs to be done is to make it so a friend can play as one of your 3 teammates. It would be simple, and wouldn't take anything away from 1p if you don't want to do it.

I don't get why people like Morrowind, my brother loves it. I am sure it won't be hard to make a better game then those two. However, no matter what they do, it would never be better than Morrowind to the die hard fans.

This would not effect the actual game but it would be an opition like haveing an opition you keep your weapons and effects but it is like a seprate mode interraly think Assain creed brother hood and Call of duty Multi players.
