I thought i put that in the frist post my bad. What does not make sense. Having the differnet charactor in the online have the same stats as the charactor in the game would just take some of the save data and coding.
Your sentence did not make sense. The game is a story.....how would the "Hawke but not Hawke" fit into the story?
I am not talking about the single player campign i am talking about online Macthes like in Cod. Co-op would be fun but the way people are reacting to it i just let the subject go mostly I have been talking about online macthes.
So, you mean like duels? I'd still prefer my single player games to remain single player games, but I wouldn't really care about that. Wouldn't it be hard to keep balanced though?
Should Dragon Age 2 have a multiplayer mode?Give reasons

Good points, still some of the reactions to the word Multiplayer in this thread just seem a bit...well like a Templar who just met his first Maleficarum.
Good comparsion that is why i moved away from that topic.

I know that you can't use Dragon Age mods on the consoles; one of my friends that mods DA, ladydesire, has often lamented the fact that console players won't ever get to try out her mods, and I'm sure she's not the only modder that feels that way. What I was trying to point out is that compared to the amount of content created for online use, there is a whole lot more that is designed for single player use; since Bioware seems uninterested in creating online content for the DA games, there is very little chance that DA3 (since DA2 has gone gold) will have any sort of online gameplay mode.
Mabey but unless they create a way to let mods get on the consule i get more bang for my buck buying a multiplayer.
Just saying that the draw of the consule is not having to deal with requriments and the great online. Why not make it just for the consules and not the PC.

Sure, it could be done. It's a whole bunch of work making something that I'd find completely worthless, but it could work.So the question is whether they'd have to divert resources from something I like to make this happen
Would it bring in enough players to mean that it pays for itself? I don't think so. If Bioware thought so, wouldn't they have done it already?
This is a discussion. Mabey not i mean they would have to look at games like Cod and ACB. then find away to mush it with the fantsy magic and intrigue of DAO. They could already have people looking at it and trying to figure out how to make it work or they could not believe it has enough draw. Just point out there were serval expension packs to the first DOA with all the time it took to make just one. People do not think they have the reasource or time to work on this. I think that is a funny thought indeed.
Sure, it's a discussion. But so far you haven't given me any reason to think that this would do anything except take developer time aways from stuff I think is good and give that time to stuff I think is worthless.

Otherwise, no. DA really doesn't need it and it would probably pull require too much additional development.

They could always create a co-op campaign exclusive to multiplayer too. If such were ever to happen.

What i ment was with all the time they have to work on semimeaningless expansions to an orginally good game. That they not only have the time but the capablites to make an effective Co-op or Muilt team death macth or raiding a chastle this is all somthing that can be done in the amount of time it took to make epensions like seachering for morganor looking for an ancient drawven city. It could be used to make a multipalyer that would work.

Not really, since while some Bioware developers were working on those "seemingly meaningless expansions", others were working on the next full game.

its because as soon as you do that you would sacrifice portions of the single player awesomeness and also youd exclude those who dont have online gaming mode thus eliminating further sales. meaning you would have to downgrade more stuff and youd be left with the worst game ever.

Also. if they did make this multiplayer, like it has happened in so many other games, all the focus would be there and then the single player experience would be awful.
Plus not all of us like playing online or co-op

(not all Multiplayer RPG's should be MMO's)
Why? NWN.
Main Campaign, probably not. Keep that Singleplayer.
Our own created Modules that can be hosted by us as MP modules? Yes.

I would like to see a DLC featuring some cooperative quests, it would be very fun, for sure.

Yes. They could have made MP rather than make the other DLCs.
Fortunately for me, they did not do that. The other DLCs have at least had a chance of being interesting to me, whereas multiplayer simply is not of any interest.

This is a discussion on wheather dragon age 2 should have Multipalyer or not. This includes but not limited to co-op and Multipalyer on line macthes/ missions.
Not possible the game already went gold.
Maybe you meant 3? OT might be a better area for this, maybe?
