Well, it was better than DAO's credits song, but that's not saying much. It was alright though.

Yes. Oh, but I wasn't saying that one was alright. That one was horrible.

I've currently got the credits rolling on my TV so I can hear the credits songs through my game chair.

I'm currently on my bed using my laptop and marinating.

Nah cant really say I like that song... Then again I'm not really a big fan of most music in general lol.
I loved, i think it was the 360 version of the credits.

Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

Your TV audio comes out of your game chair?

I absolutely loved it. Of course, I hated I Am The One and loved 30STM so I apparently just have crappy taste in music, as if there is a universal "good taste in music."

Nice tune by itself, but I'm curious about the emotional impact at the conclusion and how well it reflects the overall tone of the game.

Yes. I've got an old Xrocker game chair(they don't make this specific one anymore, but they have newer models now) with three surround sound speakers(two on the side, one on the back) and when hooked up properly, all audio comes from the chair.

This way, when sitting on it, its surround sound. Without the need for speakers all over the place.

I can hear sounds others can't in greater detail, and its even more immersing in the moment.

Yeah I was wondering if those lyrics implied some kind of sacrifice by Hawke at the end.

I suppose it's possible, but I noticed that Cassandra was asking where to find Hawke and Varric replies "I don't know where the Champion is." To me that implies Varric believes the Champion is at least alive. Why would he lie about Hawke's death, if that's what happened? Obviously he would initially resist revealing Hawke's location if he did know it--but if Hawke were dead, wouldn't he just say "too bad for you Cassandra, Hawke is dead."

Filament, go ahead and look up some game chairs. You don't need a super expensive one. A good $200 and less will still get you a nice game chair with surround sound speakers.

Then you can hear the credits song in all its glory.

Well it might be that the end comes after Varric finishes telling his story to Cassandra. Or, I don't know, there could maybe be a reason he'd want to conceal Hawke's death. Maybe the legend of Hawke's final deed is more palatable without understanding the sacrifice s/he had to make in order to achieve it. Or something.

If Cassandra hadn't said the line, "You know where he is", I would have assumed the whole interrogation was well after the Champion had already died.

That book she throws at Varic looks to be the legend of the Champion and his companions. Those don't usually get written, and then published till long after you've done your heroic exploits. :P Especially in a medieval-like setting.

I don't know how much slower Dwarves age than Humans, but I'm holding out that if the Champion is still alive, he's old and long since retired from worldly affairs.

Of course, that would mean whatever the issue Cassandra has, it isn't actually resolved in this game, which would be consistent with some reviewers saying things kind of end....without conclusion.

Isn't the book just Cassandra's checklist thing? You'd think Hawke is still alive, well, and youthful.

i like to think that "Night of the Hunter" by 30 Seconds to Mars would be a good theme for the game. idk, to me it fits to a point. LoL
