You'll need to contact Microsoft about this.

1-800-4-MY-XBOX

As for quick what I know that might help, the demo might be NR( not rated), which is a HIGHER rating than MA, might have your father check that.  To play NR games you have to pretty much turn OFF the ratings restriction completely.  If that doesnt help, then you will need to call Microsoft.

This game has been rated as M/18+

Yes, but the demo itself may or may not have that rating flag on Xbox Live.  If it has no rating flag at all, then parental controls on Xbox Live will object even if they wouldn't to MA-18.

All I can say then is if you can try completely turning off all parental controls... or does your father have a like parent account that has no restictions ever? If not, then you wil need to call Microsoft at 18004MYXBOX.

First of all, the rating is 'M' for mature, which is for ages 17 and up, not 18. Secondly, ratings restrictions are enforced on Live Marketplace based on the age configured in your profile. So in order for you to download the demo, you would need to do so using a profile whose date of birth puts it at age 17 or older. The parental controls on the console is only for the content that is played on the console. If you have purchased a game recently, you can create a dummy profile or have your dad create a profile and use the free month of Gold that comes with new games on it so you can download the demo.

I'm assuming you have the Gold Family Pack. There is an issue with the GFP where all secondary accounts are stuck in child status regardless of the gamers age or other parental settings.

Go here for more details. http://forums.xbox.c...t.aspx#35022774

Until Microsoft fixes the GFP your only option to download M and RP rated demos, videos, etc. is to log into xbox.com and cue up the download from there.

Thankfully DLC is not affected by this problem. Neither is "unrated" content. Only M and RP rated demos and videos. Also R rated movies and explicit music on zune.

Example: You can download the Dead Space 2 demo because it is rated "unrated" but you cannot download any Dead Space 2 videos because they are all rated RP or M.

Once something is downloaded there are no other problems. So you could get your dad to download it on the primary account and then play it on your account.
