I mean class wise. I originally was planning on playing a 2 handed warrior, but after playing the demo several times over I am pretty convinced I'm going to play rogue on my first playthrough (possibly even archer)

I never got past level 5 with the rogue in DAO so this was quite a suprise to me.

Anyone else?

Archer was the most impressive class I've played during the demo.

I have to say, I've been blown away.

I wasnt exactly worried about DAII but I felt like I didnt know what to expect. I wasnt a fan of the combat pacing of DAO, the "shuffling" just put me off as a player and didnt feel right.

In DAII, I mean, every class I tried (Mage/Warrior) felt like actual trained soldiers. The mage actually feel like killing machine in the way they use the staff and how the animations link between spells.

The 2hand warrior is just brutal. The way he swings and the weight behind each swing is just great.

God, I cant wait for the full game to come out!

Well, i'm not sure about anyone else but, I personally love it, the combat is great, now you can play mages, archers, warriors all with speed and efficiency...the new combat attacks etc are way better than DA:O...atleast, I prefer 'em more so...I hope, and don't doubt it that the rest of the game will be just as good, if not...better!...and PS: Didn't we kill Flemeth In DA:O?...lol. Kate Mulgrow (flemeth): Star trek voyager to Dragon age 2...she's awesome.

It's at the fall of Loathering, you havent killed her yet. At lest thats my understanding.

You know what, I was planning on playing a 2-H Sword, but the Archer grabbed my attention. Guess I'm an Archer.

You know I honestly don't know.

I'm usually pretty decisive with such things. Something just fits and I go with it, as sword and boarding it did in Origins, but I'm genuinely stumped, to the extent that I'm actively annoyed at the number of strong options.

I am not overly sold in warriors. They appear to have less "holy crap did you see that?" buttons, discovery of which put all doubts about the stylised combat from my mind. I was positively cackling during my mage run.

I think I will try to avoid roles filled by characters I like (bit of a catch-22, given I haven't met them yet), which rules out rogues. I've been sold on varric since we saw his waddle in the first combat video, and the demo sold me isabella due to the odd fact that if you pause right as the combat starts in her section, she's mid air and descending on the enemy. So very cool.

Yes. I was going to use a warrior as I always use. But I just feel so powerful and awesome as a mage. Archer was amazing as well. I really felt the impact in each of those arrows. But darn. Varric my man, that crossbow rocks. Please Bioware! Please let us have use crossbow for Hawke. If not I commend my dreams to a modder. Isaac Dead Space 2 armor Hawke with a crossbow *_* now that would be awesome.

Finishing moves don't seem to be in the demo. But darn oh darn did you see the mage's finishing move cutscene! I wowed!

Every new Dead Space 2 copy brings the code for the armor. Do have in mind that the PS3 version only works for PS3 while the code for Xbox 360 unlocks for both PC and Xbox 360 and viceversa.

No. Will play Mage first as always, but might actually play a warrior for the first time in a video game, as they don't totally suck now.

Is it me or is the Rogue weak in the demo? I'm at the part where you have to fight the Ogre with the horde of Hurlocks and I can't get past the things on Rogue.

Demo combat is awesome. I am very pleased with teh way they have made the game quicker and more responsive. That being said, I am having problems with what I will play first? LadyHawke Rouge or DudeHawke Two Handed warrior.

I am sure if I run through with a mage I will be even more confused. This game looks like it came out great. Don't know how it is really different from DA:O, it is not, just faster and more streamlined. Great Job BioWare!

I was expecting to walk into the game playing as a warrior (due to the fact that I'm really no good as any other class) but the way the mage plays is really, really fun for me and I got the hang of it quick and now I'm definitely planning on playing mage.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to play even after playing every class available in the demo. Yeah, rogues pack quite a punch but the tank class looks like it could be really fun as well. During the boss fight, Aveline had the boss' (Hayder) attention the entire time on every play through and she barely lost any health at all.

Having just watched a PC playthrough on the Mage, they look to be a cool class. I had written off playing a mage. May change my mind, if the game itself makes me want to replay.

I've also pretty much decided to play a rogue on my first run - checking out the warrior trees, it seems light on the damage options. And I've never really liked playing S&S or 2H warriors.

I'm in the same boat as you, planned on a 2H warrior and will instead be playing a rogue. I only base that decision on the fact that combat as a 2H warrior is about the most ridiculous and spastic thing I've ever seen.

I play as the mage first off because I'll run the warriors/rogues on tactics and basically focus on micro-managing my character all the time.
