For me it solidified just how awesome 2H Warriors are. Scythe is the best ability ever.

If did however allow me to see just how broke archer Rogues are. They're a bit too sweet now.

Well and given the frustration of fighting "Scattershot" able groups of archer later on in DAO it does make one wonder if archers are going to be like that all throughout the game.

I mean class wise. I originally was planning on playing a 2 handed warrior, but after playing the demo several times over I am pretty convinced I'm going to play rogue on my first playthrough (possibly even archer)

I never got past level 5 with the rogue in DAO so this was quite a suprise to me.

Anyone else?

I never had problems playing rogues in Origins and I think they are even BETTER now in DA: 2.

I LOVE the new Flemeth though... damn she looks good now...

In DA:O I preferred warrior to rogues, but I feel like the rogues are more fun to play than warriors now.

All the classes are really fun. I'm impressed. Still going to be sticking to a 2H warrior for my first playthrough however.

I was kind of surprised how super powered they made fighters. With so much overpowered crowd control I'm not sure why you'd need mages on your team. Maybe some monsters will be immune to physical attacks.

I didn't really like the rogue all too much, I think I'm leaning more so to warrior or mage.

You want a mage to be able to cause brittle on enemies, with the right talents 2h warriors and archers can do massive damage to enemies.

No, I want Bethany to survive if I'm playing Male and Carver to survive if I'm playing female. Since I'm playing Male my first playthrough, it's Warrior (not interested in the ninja)

I wisely avoided playing a mage for my first play-through in Origins... but now... hmmm...

I initially wanted to play a sword and board warrior but now... I just don't know. They are all so awesome!

Yes. After walking - or rather wobbling - with the female Hawke through the Lothering wastes, I decided that I finally found a BW-game were I wont make a playthrough as a woman. Call me vain or superficial, but I cannot identify with a character who moves as if she is constantly drunk.

I was planning on using a sword and shield -- right until my character chopped two people in half simultaneously with his two-handed sword.

Not really, but I may get upset how long it takes to kill enemies as a Warrior and decide to go Archer Rogue, the most powerful class setup early in the game.

Yes. This demo did exactly what it was meant to: give me a taste of the game with hopes of convincing a sale. The demo confirms the sequel solves the main issue I had with DAO, the combat. It was better than some passive rpgs but still, to often I felt more like a general and not a, pardon the pun, soldier. I love the tactical nature, but not at the expense of combat. I think the devs made the right decision.

@RosaAquafire... I loved DAO as much as you did, but if DAO2 is exactly what the demo implies than **** it. I so absolutely agree with Leburns. Its crap!!!!!

Graphics are crap (using either dxes), gameplay is crap and the whole new setup/interface sucks beyond belief.

Thanks bioware for this demo that convinced me NOT to buy DAO2 and just play DAO for the 55th time!!!

That's cool, bro, you're entitled to that.

But don't say that the fact that I love DA2's combat with all my heart and soul means that I like DA:O any less than you.

Played it through with a Mage just now and I have to say that they are so much more entertaining now. In DA:O You just sat back auto attacking and periodically casting a spell that mattered. Looking forward to abusing the Staff of Parthalan. Probably going to stick with a female Hawke, as generic as that sounds. Personally can't stand the female Shepard's voice in Mass Effect. Voice work is definitely improved. Cant wait!:P

As for the Warriors I really hope Spirit Warriors return. Granted they make it kinda boring as they're pretty much invincible. 2H Spirit Warriors are crazy awesome in Awakening :D
