I was going stabby rogue, but just played mage and I like. i will have to play stabby rogue tomorrow and see.

Save s&s w for play nightmare, should i try it.

I guess the deciding factor is which I want to be the cannon class for me. Since I will probably gamefaq guide the 2nd play through.

I like Bethany better than Carver, so that might be the decider.

I planned on going with Warrior, but was waffling a bit thinking about Rogues.

After playing, I'm certainly playing two handed warrior. Holy crap, Scythe is sexy.

Poor Bethany, she's going to have to die because the demo made me want to play a mage. The demo made me not want to play a warrior! D:

I was thinking of playing 2H warrior, then I changed my mind to play mage first ... before I got to play the demo. Now, I can't get myself out from loving the archer. The archer in DA2 is pretty awesome, you know.

Well, i'm not sure about anyone else but, I personally love it, the combat is great, now you can play mages, archers, warriors all with speed and efficiency...the new combat attacks etc are way better than DA:O...atleast, I prefer 'em more so...I hope, and don't doubt it that the rest of the game will be just as good, if not...better!...and PS: Didn't we kill Flemeth In DA:O?...lol. Kate Mulgrow (flemeth): Star trek voyager to Dragon age 2...she's awesome.

It's at the fall of Loathering, you havent killed her yet. At lest thats my understanding.

Oh true, true...I guess I overlooked that part, but hey...if she's still alive in the end of the game...well.... :D...I can't wait for the release none the less.

Note: ranged classes now having a melee attack with their weapons is a major step up from using their bows, staves etc on normal attacking at close range...keep it up Bioware. B)

Yep. Was pretty certain I was going to be a warrior.

Now pretty certain I'm going to be a rogue.

Nope, I always play mages in games. I played through once as a rogue and a warrior each in DA:O, and I'm sure I will do the same with DA2. But for the most part, I'm always a mage. :wizard:

Combat is really odd. Numerous of times my warrior would be stuck behind a rock and just swing his sword like a moron even though he couldn't hit anyone that far away. Immersion breaker right there.

Well I intended to play the 2H warrior and I enjoyed it in the demo, so my first playthrough will still be that.

Mage looks uberawesome now though.

I would say the bigger immersion breaker is the person who chooses not to move themselves out from behind the rock.

If the pathfinding would work properly I wouldn't have to move. Buuuuut it doesn't.

I tried the demo on both the xbox and the pc. Originally I was going to kidnap my hubby's Xbox to play there, but after I played the demo on my pc, nope pc all the way. The combat is very fast but it feels a lot more natural on the pc then it does on the xbox. I know on the xbox rogue was more fun then the game, but on the pc all the classes where great and still had the Da:O feel - but then hubby says I am nitpicking XD

But pc and mage all the way!

It convinced me to play a mage for the real DA2 playthrough, something I never do. I found the mage so fun that even the thought of spending the rest of the game with Carver couldn't sway me.

Still undecided. I was planning to play a s&b warrior, but Aveline's Guardian spec makes her a more powerful tank than my character could ever be. So I'll let her handle that. Mages are quite strong, but there are too many anti-magic abilities and talents in the game, and I don't like the idea of being useless when fighting templars or other magic-resistant creatures. Archers are very powerful, but I can't look at a bow without bowstrings all the time. That's an immersion-breaker for me. I'll probably play either a melee rogue or a 2h warrior. The new rogue combat is a lot of fun, especially the new backstab.

I was planning to play an Archer, but I might end up just going a dual-weapon Rogue instead. Not sure yet. I was a two hander in DA:O, and honestly I wasn't impressed at all with the warrior in the demo. It was a bore in comparison to the Mage/Rogue.

I am pretty sure I roll a mage instead of tossing a dice what to play. Mage and "nightmare" with friendly fire could make the combat tolerable.

Edit: Could also buy the game after two years of the release as cheapo 19,9€ game with all DLCs and latest patches included. Would be no probs.

I was thinking of playing a mage at first, but I was really turned onto the rogue by playing the demo.

I thought the abilities you got as a rogue were perfect as a slightly over the top action hero.

I was dead set on a warrior, most likely s&s as my first, as I normally find it the easiest way to slip into a new game if you have a bit of extra survivability.

Now I'll be playing a mage first, new staff combat is awesome. For comparison's sake, I'm only just finishing a mage playthrough in DOA, and even then I had to make it an Arcane Warrior to stomach it.

So yeah, +1 class convert from the demo.

The demo only reaffirmed my prediction that this game will rock my world.  I'm going to disappear for a while.  Sorry friends!  If I was pushing a six-figure salary, I would buy a brand new copy for ALL of my friends.  Even some online friends.  That's how much I believe in BioWare and Dragon Age 2.  I'm even more excited about Mass Effect 3.  Game on!

Playing as a ROGUE is ridiculously fun!  Super addictive.

It changed my mind for my warrior weapons, I can kiss my sword/shield goodbye. And it also made me want to play as a mage but I can do that with my Warrior since I am planning on having a mage or 2 on my team
