Weird "Loading..." in PC, not in Xbox version

So I just played through both the PC and Xbox version.  Obviously the PC version has a much better framerate and graphics, etc.

But one thing that I thought was a little odd was that in transitions between scenes and even sometimes in the middle of scenes on the PC, a little "Loading..." would pop up and it would take several seconds to load.   The Xbox version didn't have that at all and was much more fluid.

I would think that the PC, with my fast hard drive wouldn't experience this.  I mean, in Fallout New Vegas, for example, on the PC my loading screens are like 1 second, but on the Xbox they're like 10 seconds.

So what's the deal?

(The most glaring example of this is when the Dragon appears in the exaggerated Story, and then it cuts to Cassandra and she says, "Bull****", then RIGHT after that line there's a 5 second loading, eventhough the conversation should be fluid, which it is on xbox)

9.

But I tried turning V-sync off and that totally fixed it.  Dunno why V-sync would have an effect like that, but it seems to be fixed with the V-sync off.

Ty for the concern! <3

I had similar problems with DX9.

Edit: I'll see what turning of V-Sync does.

I don't know about the OP, but this happened to me using DX9 (I saw the post about DX11 not working, so I didn't even bother trying)

EDIT: Double ninja'd Image IPB

happens to me to

set to dx11 even though it's disabled for the demo

intermittent "loading..." and hiccuping sometimes after choosing dialogue options, as if it's loading the voice file

rest of the demo runs fine though :)

It happened to me as well, lasted about 2 seconds. Is it possible that where she says Bull is the end of one cut-scene, and the game is trying to load the next cut-scene?

DX9

DX9 or DX11 makes no difference, the problem is with Vsync. I've tried multiple settings and the only fix is to disable Vsync. I was, however, able to enable Vsync in nVidia's control panel, and that prevented me from seeing the screen tearing and didn't bring back the hiccup loads.

Same problem. I was using DirectX 9 and was getting strange 'loading..." message every cut-scene and weird pauses during dialogues. Outside of those, game runs very well.

I had the same problem, but disabling v-sync and anisotropy fixed it for me. I have a high-end PC and experienced no slow-downs during battles, so I doubt it's my hardware.

Same here, with the V-sync on appear loading every time before a cut scene, now with the V-sync off runs smoothly.

Obs: using Dx9

V-Sync off does seem to resolve this for me as well. No more long pauses with "Loading..." displayed. No more short pauses/stutters without anything displayed, either, so presumably those were one and the same.

Win7 64-bit, Core i5-2500, 8 GB RAM, Radeon 4770 w/ Catalyst 10.12, DX9 selected in demo
