I got the Demo off of steam and when i click Play, it just goes back to the same screen and wont load up. Im not sure if this is just a Steam problem, but when i start the game from steam i get the launcher screen and then i clock play but it just wont start!Please Help!!!

I have this same exact problem. I let it sit forever, thinking perhaps it's just going to take a moment to load, and BAM! Steam crashes without reason. Doesn't even give an error message.

I had a similar problem but I was getting a flag saying that the 'd3dx9_43.dll' was missing and was unable to start. Turns out it was a DirectX issue. Another post on this forum mentioned this and had a link to Microsoft to load this file. Not sure this is the same issue you are having, but you might try it. My problem now is, I can get past a certain point in the demo, it freezes and locks up my system. Nor can you save your game in the demo and have to start over.

OK, I found the forum mentioning the 'd3dx9_43.dll' is missing error. Here it is.

Same issue. I click Play on the launcher, the window starts up...and then it immediately crashes. All it says is "Dragon Age II Demo has stopped working." I followed all the general recommendations - DirectX 9 instead of 11, anti-aliasing off, vertical sync off, windowed mode, and run as administrator - and still nothing. I'm at a loss.
