That said, this is not something I usually care about or get worked up about in video games.  I will say, though, that as a heterosexual female playing the demo, I STILL couldn't keep my eyes off of Isabella's chest.  It was just ...bizarrely big.  I kept expecting her to tip over backwards.

see someone gets it

other than the "suck it up" crowd.

there's no way a woman could be that mobile as a warrior with gazongas like that, it's just silly.

lara croft also went through that comically huge phase till they reduced them to something more realistic

oh yes and compare isabella in the first game to now if you think her breasts haven't magically doubled in size.

I think Isabella had to make a swim for it when her ship sank...so maybe she was in too big of a hurry to put on some pants. (the no pants doesn't bother me either) and unlike the big boob part, I do in fact wear pants. lol

I do like big breasts, but definitely not in a video game. I'd rather see more detailed swords... and other weapons.

*eyeroll* I hate it when men use this argument. I've seen it on comic book boards too. As if showing Superman's chest and Powergirl's chest has the same effect on the readers.  Puh-lease.  Arms, biceps, and male pecs do not have the same sexual connotation as a woman's heaving ta tas.

Agreed. Both powerful male with big muscles and female with big breasts are fantasies that typically cater  to males.

I hope there's a way to reduce isabellas "oversized mammaries" , bethany's are also bordering on the impractical size.

I just find it weird that Bethany is so sexualised when she's your PC's sister. That's... odd, to me. She isn't your sister, of course, but she plays your characters sister.

I just... that's weird.

Isaboobla? Eh. She's Isabela. If they had given her a unique outfit in Origins, it'd probably be something as sexy. I think it's just her.

This exactly.

I do like the fact Bioware added some variety to the characters' shapes this time around, and I have no problem with large breasted women; to me the problem lies in the fact Bethanys' (at least) are unreasonably huge.

So yay Bioware for changing it up, but why the heck does everyone have to walk around with a triple F?

The issue isn't about what size breasts you like best.

The real question is, have bioware gone too far in their attempts to attract a certain type of male gamer by over-sexualizing the female characters which, in turn, contributes the the objectification of women in general.

Really? One character has large breasts and OH GOD NOT HOT ENOUGH FOR YOU. Then romance Merrill, or the bi LI. He won't have any breasts for you to complain about. Or, you know, don't romance anyone.

I don't see m(any men buying romance novels with a guy that looks like heman on the front.

The real question is, has Western society gone too far in their attempts to attract a certain type of ideal by over-sexualizing the female population which, in turn, contributes to the objectification of women in general.

Let me fix that for yah.

Isabella's breasts are disgustingly huge, they completely turn me off the character. Any interesting character personality she posesses (none of which existed in the demo, if it exists) is completely overshadowed by the fact she's going to be a very crabby old woman with severe back problems by the time she hits 40. Which, funnilly enough, would have made for a more interesting character.

However ...

... I would be more than happy with them staying their current size if this happened.

you know, as a chick who is usually on bandwagon for more realistic and less sexualized females, i have to say i'm kinda getting tired of all these threads about the female character's body images.

seriously, nobody gives two craps if you like or dislike a specific thing about those characters.

they are made and they aren't changing, especially not to fit one person's very specific and narrow desires.

for every thread that talks about breasts, there should be a matching one talking about penises. it's only fair. <_<

Kinda reminds me of the arguement "Disembowling, blood shed,  gore, and slaughtering in games and movies are "ok" but showing those oversized boobs without covering isn't". Everyone is all ok with the fantasy male image and them running into combat all Conan like with just a loin cloth, but the world comes to an end when its a chain mail bikini on the the volupouse fantasy female.

People need to relise its just the fanatsy genra in general, both female AND male figures are objectified sexually.

BTW, did anyone check out Flemeth's pair?

I love big boobs. But even I have to admit her ****** are distracting. I cant remember a word she said all game. Joking. But first it was Miranda and now Isabela. Ashley Williams looked like a normal woman.

If you don't like it then don't buy the game. It's that simple instead of complaining about it when the game is is about roughly 2 weeks from launch and they aren't going to go back and re-design the character, that would take too much time.

I'm female.
Feel free to be nit picky but if you've seen the cutscenes with Bethany you'll have noticed she's well beyond a simple D cup.

I dont like skinny or muscle bound women at all!

Espically the ones so skinny you can see the outline of their skeletal structure. I imagine adult activities with them to be an excercise in not breaking bones because the bones have no meatbag cushioning.

My take on the size of the boobs in the game:

You are certainly right, male sexualisation does not do the same as female sexualisation, but then, we would also have to factor in gender differences and..well, personal preference. Not every man get turned on staring at oversized mammaries as evident in this thread, just as not every woman would find the bodybuilder characters unsexy.

But it's all stereotype really, century-worth of comic and mass-media has taught us that unless you look like Arnold in Terminator, you can't even cut a tofu with the sharpest knife in the world. And women will always have to be well endowed but otherwise useless, see: Megan in Transformers.

Though, I would really say, as an illustrator myself, that the truth is most likely far simpler... We just wanna draw comic heroes and ****** on women.

I am actually ok with this. Who wants to start a DA:O thread arguing about whether Alistair's or Zevran's penis is bigger?  Despite being slighter in build and height, I'm actually going with Zevran.*

...I guess the problem is, it's easy to tell how big a woman's breasts are, but men are always wearing those stupid protective codpieces.  If women's breasts have to be exposed to potential stabbing, so should men's jollies!

*I'm willing to bet someone already made it, actually
