I have played it on 360, PC, and PS3 (in that order).
4.5/5 (but PC locked up on me twice during transition to cut scene)
VERY tough to judge a game based on a small demo like this, but there is enough quality there as a demo to say its a great demo. Who knows how the full game will end up, but if its a notch or two above the demo this will be a huge hit.
Based on Demo, Rate DA2

I don't really care about the change in graphics. All I can say about that is that DA:O looked good enough, and DA2 does too.
I liked the faster pace in combat, and the fact that you could hit a running target in melee. I also liked how the classes and speccs were fairly different, and the amount of micro management that was made possible. It feels as if you get to use abilities more often than in DA:O, and that you feel the effect the abilities have.
A downside to that is that many of the enemies feel like all they are there to do is to take up some space, and give the player feelings of reward when they go down. I feel the rewards, but it still feels strange that my party of four can walk through dozens of enemies at a time. The enemies that spawn behind me halfway through the battle feel like something that's only there to create artificial challenge. This definitely gives DA2 the feel of a Hack&Slash-game, but that doesn't change the fact that there's a strategic element to it.
The story seems to be good. We haven't seen much of it, but it looks like there will be some internal conflicts and actual (non-romantic) relationships between the characters.
I got a good first impression: 4.5/5

The most important parts of Bioware games, the characters and the story can't be shown with a short demo. So I don't think, rating the game would make much sense at this point. Imagine you would have played a demo of DA:O with the Korcari Wilds level, that wouldn't have been too impressive neither.

Right now I'd give it a 2.5/5 for the following reasons
Story and writing in the demo is ****** poor compared to the origin stories. Sure they were cliche'd but 'we have to escape lothering' queue group of darkspawn a' is a bit simplistic don't you think?
Combat is extremely flashy. I know they wanted to improve on the look from slow DA:O for the console crowd who have the attention span of a knat but this is ridiculous. Apprently there will be an option to tone them down a bit, which is good.
The complete lack of strategy. Yea you could pause and issue commands to your party but it's almost better to just set up their tactics and let everything go. Even the big fights of the demo like the ogre I really just sat back and watched.
Demo at least is extraordinarily linear. I'm hoping the linearity of the early part of the demo is the exception, not the rule. DA:O was pretty linear too but there was still a lot of nice stuff for explorers to find and you were rarely locked to a 2' wide path.
The chat 'wheel' over simplifies not only the dialog but the writing as well. Every choice boiled down to 'agree, joke around, get pissed off'. With DA:O your dialog choices were always more subtle and better written.
Graphics are very nice and an improvement. I am beyond happy to see the main character has a full head of hair and even a beard! 4/5ths of the characters in main-stream AAA titles these days is a bald guy with a gruff voice and 2' bicepts. From early videos and such Hawke seemed much the same and I really didn't like the character. He seemed like a preening brat spoiled by power but he is thankfully more dimensional and mature than I expected.
The advancement system is nice, your choices seem to make a larger difference in gameplay and the variety of ways you can specialize your character are appreciated. I also liked that the stats were more clearly defined. Sure, dumbed down in what they do (DA:O's stats were much more intricate, a good build required more than just strength and stamina on a fighter, etc) but at the same time the details were less clear, so I appreciate this time around their benefits are clearly defined.
I know the above points on my impressions on the demo seem rather harsh. I did enjoy the demo once I got onto the mindset that I should try the game on it's own merits and not by the (IMHO superior) merits of the original. I think once I can turn down the flashy combat animations that belong in the next console slasher game, not an adult RPG and in the actual game I see more depth of story, rp and writing I'll come to enjoy it.
I have faith that as different as this game is, in the end it's Bioware and I'm sure I'll come away from the game having had a deep rpg experience. I cannot help but compare to the original (which is my third favorite RPG of all time) and in many respects think the demo at least is not remotely up to snuff but I'm a mature enough gamer to know that it doesn't mean it cant be a good game in it's own right.

I don't see how that short piece of the game can do the actual game justice, and the problems I have might end up not being problems at all but based soley on the demo I'd say 3.
to the above, i think the way they changed the stats is better. i didn't do any math but to me it looked like every stat had at least some useful element to it to any char type, where as on the previous game many stats where useless to certain chars and it was so much about stacking the main stat that unlocked gear/ abilities.

From first impressions I will give it a 4/5 but I reserve my final verdict for the full game because from a 10 minute demo you can't have a proper opinion but I have to admit that I liked what I have seen although I would prefer if they allowed in the pc version the use of the xbox controller since they made the combat so action oriented instead of strategic.

I cannot rate the entire game based on a demo, but for a demo (compared to other demos I've played) I would say 5/5. I still don't like the new dialog system, and FemHawke's voice really takes some getting used to. At this time I almost prefer both Hawkes unvoiced like in DAO but who knows, I may get used to it after some extended playtime. I look forward to playing the actual game.

- Combat looked silly with you hitting a lot but barely hurting enemies while said enemies were the opposite.
- The most dramatic moment was really badly written. Extra points if it´s Bethany, a Templar shows more grief for an apostate than her brother/sister. Who wrote that? The paraphrase system also was worse than ME.
- No comment on combat/tactics as this was Normal difficulty. Don´t know how Casual can be even easier than this, though. Bethany AI wasn´t very good. Her FB missed more often than not.

I played Dragon Age for the first time ever, thru the demo.
Few things I did not like - when you do a normal attack it seems useless (doesn;t take much HP down)
Also why are all females in the game made with huge breats - lol did they have Dragon Age 90210 or something?

About 5/10 for the demo but expect the game to be much higher. Given how short the demo was I was hoping for a 2gb download there would be a few things we could play with between now and when the game is released. The character customisation would have been nice, at least the visuals, should have also allowed more play with the various class types even if you have to unlock them in the main game.
Also, I hope the tactics interface is vastly improved for the launch game, i had a horrendous 10 minutes spent trying to add some variation to the characters, the interface was non-functional and gave up on it.

The abilities provide the bulk of the damage, the normal or auto attacks only provide a low amount of damage typically. Although I found the rogue archer to put out a fair bit of auto-attack damage.

I'd say 3 because I find the change in the visuals i.e. the mini map and the health bars a bit off-putting but will get used to them in time, also I really wanted to play with the character creation tool and was disappointed that I couldn't. I was a bit bored with the combat but I need to give it another go. It's just a case of adjusting to the diffferences really.
