Dragon Age 2: 6/10. Of course, I can only tell for sure when I have played the game from beginning to end, but I'll probably won't buy this one. Based on interviews and the demo, this game feels to much like an action-oriented hack 'n slash rpg based on the superb Dragon Age Origins (which I would rate 9/10). The only reason to buy this game would be the story, but I guess The Witcher 2 will also have a great story and I expect to enjoy it much more than hack 'n slash Dragon Age 2.

How many times does it have to be said DA2 is NOT a hack n slash game especially on the PC. According to Bioware on higher difficulty levels it will take just as much if not more tactical thinking than DA:O. So unless you are playing on console (and even then the hack n slash can be toggled off) DA2 is by no means a hack n slash

It cannot be honestly rated based on the way the demo was presented. No real chance to get a feel for characther development, outfitting, relationship development or plot flow. While combat mechanics is part of it, it is at most 15% of the value of an RPG.

I'd have to go with 3. I do indeed like Varrick and Isabela. I thought I wouldn't like either. I love the combat and I think it's going to be a good game but I don't think there will be much replayability. I hope I'm wrong but if it's like ME2 then there won't be much replayability.

Origins, I've played 17 times.  ME1, I've played about 6 times, ME2, I've played twice.  If this one goes the way of ME2, I'll probably play it twice.  Once as a mage and once as a rogue until a toolset is released and mods are created for it.

I won't rate DA2 based on a demo. It's not fair to the final product. But I will rate the demo a 3/5. I like the faster combat but some of the animations are too much, way too much. There must be some laws of physics in Thedas. The voice acting of male and female Hawke was very good. In fact all the voice work was very good. If I were on the fence about buying the game the demo would probably push me toward buying.

I'd say a solid 8, only because the difficulty made it a little frustrating. Hopefully the full version will gentler to Mages.

If DA:O was a 4.5/5, based on the demo I'd give DA2 a 3/5. Hate the Mass Effect conversation wheel, and it was 99% combat. Hopefully the full game is less action based and more RPG based.

Ummm, anyway, I rate DAII around 8.7, higher if the targeting was better. That is really my only problem with it so far because Idk what exactly I am targeting

Yeah... Do you expect escapees of darkspawn to be hangin' back while a horde is ready to bite them in the ass?

They had an opportunity for the 2nd half of the demo in Kirkwall to showcase the less action oriented stuff, but instead just had us fight bandits.
