I'd give it a 3.5/5 for a demo. Too many features were turned off that didn't need to be along with a buggy tactics menu.
The combat was marvelous, huge improvement over DA:O I feel; more responsive and faster paced yet still drawn out. However some of the abilities which cause you to move quickly (rush, evade) are a bit buggy depending on the terrain.
For those concerned about the tactics menu, it's all there... but some of the selections require you to mouse over a very specific area for whatever reason, I'm sure they'll patch it up.
The characters that we get to meet seem cool, Cassandra is actually kind of funny and not a complete b**** which is a pleasant surprise.
Based on Demo, Rate DA2

I am glad folks know how to read, especially when I say out of 5, being it's a demo, it's not going on 1-10 scale, yet with everyone's AWESOME reading comprehension, folks are giving it something out of 10 rating.
Amazing...

Oh dear, drama queen alert. Let me be of assistance though, there is a simple mathematics equation to switch it in your head from the /10 format to /5. 5/10 will be 2.5/5, 10/10 will be 5/5 - a few others may be a little more difficult but a calculator will help.

3/5 or 7/10
I am so hesitant to complain because than I will just appear to be another one of those 'golden days' RPG nerds who think Jesus had sex with Mary Magdelan and she gave birth to a video game and they named it Baldur's Gate.
I really wish I hadn't played this poorly put together Demo so that I wouldn't enter the actual game embittered.

I'll use the 100 scale because I find it more accurate.
I only played the PC version, but I rate it at 94%.
Few negatives.
-Some of the lines seemed to be delivered stale. "He's with father now ;_;"
-Darkspawn animations were wonky at times, moving faster than their animation ran.
-Wesley took off running at 100mph after my party defeated the second ogre.
-Minor graphical glitches.

No, I just get tired of each generation's ability to lose intelligence.
Reading Comprehension, spelling, grammer, & ability to communicate any of that in an effective manner, seems to get worse, maybe it's my old age. Either way, I did specify the rating system in advance

brillient demo, I came into the Bioware world via Mass Effect 2, so im not your traditional rpg player, but I have done ME1 and DA:O also since then. I know im going to love this year, first part will be Dragon Age 2, then Old Republic then Mass Effect 3. Gonna be a good one!

Off of initial impression I give it a 4.5/5. That being said I am not seeing a whole lot of replay-ability like there was in origins but the full version could change my opinion on that...we shall see.

4.5/5
-Enjoyed the combat over the predecessor
-Story-telling seems improved, even though I have no clear idea what the plot will be like yet
-Graphics seem decent.
-Still feels like an RPG
Hopefully the full game will carry the same value as this small sample.

Some people are waiting for the final version to hit to make their full assessment. Just thought I would point out that is only 2 weeks away. Do you really think it is going to be much different. Remember, at this point, they are already manufacturing OUR disks.

It's hard to judge the plot, story, & interactive elements on what we got, via the Demo.
I believe the demo was given to us to show off the combat more then anything, with little story chucked in, that is what they been talking about, the change of combat. They wanted to show that off more then anything. That's the new shiny to them, since we know they'll have a story already waiting for us.(We hope)
Still as I said, I was very unhappy with tactics setup system, seemed very buggy(but again this could be older build). We'll see on the 8th.
I'll try out rogue at a later day & try out the mage at later day after that. I more then anything wanted to make sure things where running fine on my computer, I'll be testing out the various video options that are aviable to us at the current time.

I would say 4/5, with some issues due to being a demo, game hung up loading Chantry, and most good stuff was locked. The new combat took some getting used to, but once I did, it felt very dynamic and fun. You could just auto attack like in DAO or you can do fancy attacks.
Biggest issue I had with the demo was the railroad they called a level in the beginning. I like the more open expanses they had in DAO like the Wilds quest for DS blood, rather than the narrow walkway they had in the demo. I am hoping this is simply a product of the Demo instead of a game design choice for the entire game.

I am NOT going to judge a game on a demo. I will rate this game AFTER I play it from beginning to end.

4/5 (360) Demo Version.
+ Story-telling wise is top notch. I like it with the narratative style.
+ Combat gameplay is really good.
- Slow frame rate.

7.4. There were many things missing/buggy but I ignore whether they are being included in the final game or not.

4 Oreos out of 7 Backwards Hats.
Because ratings, especially for a demo, are pretty much meaningless.
