+ cutscenes
+ skill / character development
+ animations (combat, idle & cutscene)
+ clear difference between classes (especially warrior & rogue) - and the mage got the right dose of awesome administered.
- cutscene eyes (O.o)
- no matter how awesome the combat is, after playing through the demo combat becomes 'using the same trick time after time' as it was in DA:O; then again that may only because the difficulty is too low on normal. I'll be starting on hardcore/veteran with the main game. 'Normal' is just too easy.
- it's still not as immersive as the Mass Effect series; though the cutscenes are a LOT better than DA:O, it doesn't compare to Lair of the Shadowbroker so far.
All in all I'm glad I pre-ordered the Signature Edition. While playing the demo I'm getting all giddy and find myself indecisive about which class to play first because they're all covered in awesomesauce. It looks like I'll have to play through the game at least 3 times, one for each class, and then likely another 3 times more for a variation on each class.
I'm sure they could have done even better if BioWare would have given themselves another 6 months of development, but I'm looking forward to the endresult a whole bunch regardless.
Edit: actually, based on the demo, I am actually inclined to play a male character for once. The VA does a great job, and in comparison to ME's Mark Meer he.. well... he's great.
4.5 out of 5, only because there's no option of 4.8.
