For some reason When I run the game it is way to dark. I can barely see anything, except when in bright light (i.e. near sunny areas) in the demo. Even the menus are freakin so dark I need to squint to see the options!

The gamma slider is set to 1, but I can't go any higher, I wish I could at least control the brightness and contrast to resolve this.

My Specs:
Windows 7
Memory: 4 gb
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1075T Processor 3.2GHz
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6870

Video card up to date with latest catlyst drivers too. :(

In my case it took "Gamma=1.8" in the DragonAge.ini file to make the gray bars shade from while to black. Thanks LastSeraph7 for the help.

The slider on mine Full screen Gamma is default set to max, but its only dark on 1680x1050, if I change res the screen gets much brighter. Edited .ini file tho which worked obviously, just odd it only does that for me at that resolution.

I think that the op may have hit on something here. It is possible to alter the Gamma via the Config file; however, that is a global affect and impacts on the entire game. I also have difficulty seeing the interface screens and simply altering the Gamma setting makes the in game play way too bright.

I think that there is an issue (with some users) over the difference in GUI Gamma and game play Gamma.
