stop bumping posts after a few minutes. We need more info. What graphic settings are you using? When does the error occur? in game?

DX11 is not supported in the demo. Also, you might not want to run a demo from the steam overlay.. might also be causing some issues.

Really, im using a 8800GTX and ive always ran DX11 games, CIV5 being the biggest although that does heat the system alot cant overclock when i play that or i get freezes.
Anyways to the original poster right click DAII demo in your steam games libary go to properties, then the local fiels tab and click verify integrity of game cache see if that helps

Looks like an XML issue. Try opening the configuration file in the MyDocuments/BioWare/Dragon Age 2 Demo folder. This will use your internet browser to load the XML page. If it fails then your XML environment is borked.

Quick google search shows this same issue with DAO, ME, and ME2. Unfortunately none of the threads I checked seemed to have an official response from bioware or EA. The only thread I saw with a positive outcome was this one, http://forums.steamp...d.php?t=1680820, but the OP seemed a little vague in his response. Maybe you should try contacting EAGames since that is what appears to have resolved the issue for the OP in the above mentioned thread.
The Arachnyd's posted solution may be worth a try, but I fail to see how DirectX could cause an XML encoding issue like this one.
