Everyone in the inventory, level up, and in their portraits have black skin. Like not dark brown, pitch black, like the texture is not being drawn. In game they look fine. This is really bugging me.

Same issue for me. Everything else runs fine, the game is fine, but the faces aren't being drawn. Just floating eyes and hair in an inky blackness.

Mhm. The game runs perfect otherwise. Strange ...

Might be good to post specs, especially video card and driver version.
Also important to say whether the demo is using DX9 or DX11.

And what res and texture settings you're playing at. Also consider turning off vert sync... that seems to helped a lot of folks tonight.

You're at the bare minimum for specs for the game, so I'd have to guess that medium textures may be too high. You could try updating your display driver, of course.

I know I'm at the min, everything else runs perfectly however. Drivers up to date.

Anyone got any ideas?

OH SWEET BABY JESUS
I suggest redownloading and installing, to be perfectly blunt. It seems to be a corrupted file. If that doesn't fix it (and it should), update your graphics drivers, reboot, and try again.

I'll try that tomorrow and let you all know. Thanks for the tips. Anyone feel free to keep suggesting fixes. Especially a mod.
Edit: Oh and just so you know. In game the face look perfectly fine. Only is black in the inventory screen, level up screen, and in the portraits.

Redownloaded and did a fresh install. Also tried a system restart. Still black faces. :'(

Exactly the same issue here.
7900 GS has 256MB video memory, my machine has 512MB, so i don't think that it has anything to do with texture memory, but I'll run it on lowest and see what happens, just in case.
Specs:
Core 2 Duo T7600 2.33GHz x2
4GB RAM
Quadro FX 3500M 512MB (Equiv performance to desktop 7950GT, can even run desktop drivers, woo)
Win7, Dx9
Will also test on my desktop - if it runs on there...Technically, its X1900XTX is faster than the minimum HD2600, but its a generation behind, so its probably going to have the same issues

Putting settings to low doesn't make any difference.
Desktop doesn't have this issue.
Perhaps this problem only applies to GeForce 7xxx's? (my 3500M is basically identical to a 7950GT)

It's possible, DA:O had crashing issues with my specific ATI card. (And it does still crash a lot.) Any word from Bioware on whether intel or ati helped fund the development, or if there was no particular side in it?

I also got a face bug, except mine was of Carver's face falling apart!

Same bug. I'm running a very similar spec:
Intel Core 2 Duo: 2.00 GHz
2GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce 7900 GS 256 MB
Graphic Quality: Tried both Low & Med, 1440x900 Resolution
Win 7 64-bit, Dx9
Looks like something specific to the 79xx series. It satisfies the bare minimum requirements so I hope the full game won't have the same issue.

Origins has a problem sometimes with overclocked Nvidia cards, even those that are factory overclocked. It causes "spiky" issues with faces and structures. I encountered the problem when I had a factory overclocked GPU and an older CPU/motherboard... it seemed the disparity in the memory clock timings might have been an issue. The original thread from the PC Tech forum is here: http://social.biowar...8/index/5574840

Hope this issue isn't in the final release. Things like that bug me and will probably make me cancel my preorder.
