There are good reasons not to consider the "possibility" that this is Morrigan...

Edit: Hawke meets Flemeth after the Warden met her and before the Warden had a chance to kill her. This has ben confirmed. So, Morrigan (who, btw can't turn into a dragon) is with the Warden while Hawke is chatting with Flemeth.

I don't really mind the Flemeth resign. The only thing i would mind is if they try to retcon her story into saying she was always wearing that outfit even in Origins and even when the Warden met with her.

Because that doesn't make chronological sense.

She can shapeshift into a dragon. But according to you she can't even give herself a face-lift. Okay...

She wanted to impose respect upon Hawke to make him/her do as she wished whereas she wanted to appear as an harmless old hag to the Warden to remove any suspicion. Flemeth does everything for a reason.

The redesign looks good to me. I don't see her facial structure as having massively changed. Thumbs up over here.

Flemeth is an ancient shapechanger, hence she can take basically any shape she wants.

I like her new looks. Posted Image

It made her look more sinister.

The new one just gives her away at first sight.

You don't think that maybe... shapeshifting out of dragon form does that before you notice her new clothes and hair? It's not like she could be subtle in that case.

So what ur saying is...Flemeth's true human form is the one in DA2 and DA:O Flemeth is a disguise?

The grumpy old hag was much more fun (and much more threathening as she didn't have to pull the Iamsocool act to show she is powerful). But that's only my opinion.

I do admire "power in disguise", which was Flemeth in the first game.

I have to agree.  I'm really down on the game in general but Flemeth was awesome.  The voice over, the look, the entrance....all of it was fantastic.

She doesn't imply any of the forms we've seen is true.

She probably uses the appearance, that suits her ends the best.

So very true. A dragon transforming into an old hag is far from impressive.

I think in the dialogue if you address her shapeshifting to dragon-form she says something like 'Maybe I am a dragon.'

I love the new Flemeth. I didn't dislike her as the old woman, but I like her a lot more as the crazy-haired, metal-gauntlet wearing character we meet in DA2.

i'm fine with this. the hair horns are weird and laughable, but Flemeth lets others see what she wants them to see. in DA:O she appeared to be a harmless old lady so we would doubt if she really was that bad. Here she's gearing up to get involved and tries to appear strong and menacing to manipulate them in a wholly different way.

Flemeth right after Ostagar was still Flemeth - if Morrigan "takes over" for her, it comes later. DA2 takes place over 10 years after all.

Transforming from a dragon was another give-away.

Good Point *bonus points for reference*

But while I really like this new design, it indeed strikes a weird cord at is is very different from Origins. If it wasn't for the Voice and her Purple Dragon form, no one would guess she was Flemeth.
