I can't remember the exact dialogue but I remember I had a nagging feeling all the time after 'killing' Flemeth that Morrigan was now possessed. Also, consider how many of you guys that have said she reminded you of Morrigan.

Morrigan is her daughter, and learned most of what she knows from Flemeth. I'd rather be surprised if she was nothing like Flemeth. There is no way to know for sure, but ... I don't think so.

You don't think that maybe... shapeshifting out of dragon form does that before you notice her new clothes and hair? It's not like she could be subtle in that case.

Are dragons and beings that can shapeshift into dragons not common?

Im split on this, had Flemith transformed into her old women looks from DA:O, I think it would of made a cool contrast to the insane dragon form she was in minutes befor,

Dragon - Old Lady in rags would of been a powerful switch, they could of revamped the rags etc to make it look more dramatic.



At the end of the day, I just think, when making DA:O Bioware didnt plan to make a great deal out of Flemith, but when writing Dragon Age 2, they decided to make her a main character, and also decided to make her look 'related' to Morrigan allot more.



If it had been me, designing her, I would of stuck to an Origins look for her, but oh well, thats the only slight gripe I have with the demo, so not a world ending problem

My guess biological. Look at the eyes. I just think Flemeth had other plans with Morrigan than taking over her body. Maybe to be her heir or maybe to rule the world as mother and daughter? Who knows.

Well, I don't know, it felt very weird when in the Demo she just clashed down and started speaking... Very weird as if I thought the voice didn't belong to her, because she looked a bit different in origins. But I Got used to it eventually.

What give her away at the first sight was... you know, her being a freaking dragon.

But, I undersand the OP. DA2 is so much eye candy my eyes get diabetes. In both the character looks, being it over the top closing or, ahem, enlarged physical features and character combat.

I like the new Flemeth. Flemeth in Origins came off as a weak old lady to me. In DA2 she seems like somebody important.

In DAO, Morrigan needed to hold your attention at the beginning since she was going to join your party. Flemeth needed to be the crazy swamp lady so she wouldn't overshadow her daughter's contributions to the party. (Both of them.)



In DA2, it looks like that isn't an issue. She can flaunt her power, mystique and beauty at the beginning because we're familiar with her as players, she doesn't need to use the same subtle tactics she used on the other hero (DAO), and frankly because the designers probably wanted to show off a bit of what makes her a legendary figure: her ACTUAL legendary figure.
