New thread about crashes in DX9 only , the other crash-thread have lots of people not telling they are using DX11.

With my hardware and DX9 enabled the game always crashes when the first fights are done and you load the real game after Character Customization.
Only fix for me was to enable DX11 to be able to pass that part  , I then switched back to DX9 ingame to stop DX11 from showing HUGE graphical glitches and slowdowns. (Even tho game says it needs an restart it sure works)

I have tried all male character-classes , same crash
I have tried at lowest resolution(1280x768) LOW graphics , same crash
I have tried without sound (to eliminate that cause) , game crashes directy after starting the first intro movie after bioware logo.
Specs: Intel I5-760 (not overclocked) , 6Gb RAM , Geforce 570 GTX -
266.58 Drivers in 1680x1050 , No AA , Medium details  ,Fullscreen with
Vsync ON.

My DX9 crashes occurred consistently after character selection. I, too, only could achieve stability by enabling DX11 in the options.

I was running the demo in full screen, with medium setting and AA off. Resolution was 1680x1050.

try adding a -singlecore option to the runline of the shortcut on the demo, I'm sort of curious if it's the multicore bug rearing it's ugly head again.

"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age 2 Demo\\bin_ship\\DragonAge2Demo.exe" -singlecore

Many seem to have fixed their probems with the demo by turning OFF - Vsync. Im going to test that when I get home from work today.

With or without VSync, I found the demo much more stable with Renderer set to Directx11. It was just about unplayable due to crashing and freezing when set to DirectX9. And better with VSync off like others have said.
