I'm SO angry right now. The demo just crashed during the fight in Kirkwall.
Good God, BioWare, I just can't do it again. The PS3 version of DA:O (especially the DLC) was so ridiculously buggy that you should be ashamed of yourself. I love the lore behind Dragon Age, and I love the gameplay. But your quality control is SHAMEFUL. Maybe it's because I've spent all my life playing on consoles and don't have a PC gaming background at all, and this nonsense is more common where you come from. But I was almost done with the demo, and now I have to start over. Is this how DA2 is going to be?
I'm in the middle of replaying Awakenings/Golems/WH because you couldn't be bothered to fix the bug at the end of Witch Hunt. If more bugs and crashes await me in DA:2, maybe I should just step off the train, now.
Unbelieveable.
I can't take another trip through bugville with you, Bioware.

And you know what the worst part is? Everything else about the demo was leaving me with a very favorable impression. The more stylized art direction, the smoother framerate, the great VO, the sleeker user interface, I love it all. I LOVE the presentation style with the quick cuts between Verric/Cassandra and the main story. I love the way Flemeth makes just enough reference to DA:O.
THAT'S the worst part about it. DA:O was this well written, well conceived, beautiful thing (that I spent over 200 hours on) that was tragically marred by junky, crashy, buggy nonsense. All the +100 approval bugs, warden's keep messing up DAA's graphics, Anders drinking out of a joining chalice that wasn't there, Darkspawn Chronicles crashing every five minutes, Morrigan misremembering how the final night went down... the list goes on and on.
DA2 looks like a creative improvement in every way; that's why it'll be that much more tragic if it's marred the way its predecessor was.
PLEASE don't do it again, BioWare. Please, hold the software to the standard of every other aspect of Dragon Age this time.

I am only experiencing the black face bug and I am running it on medium and it still looks great. Though the black face bug is annoying as hell.

I haven't had any problems at all, and I've played thru 4 times so far.
PC, Vista64, 1600x1200, DX9, medium settings.
You have to remember that this is just a demo, the current problems may very well be fixed in the retail version.

Yes, it's a demo. A piece of software intended to make us want to buy the full product. My demo download has crashed twice already. I can easily see how such an experience would leave one wanting.

Crashing problem is player error, it's due to you enabling the DX11 and higher graphic settings.
Set it to DX9 and medium.

Yes, except that it still crashes when I set it to DX9.

If that is the case, then perhaps there should be a sticky with known issues at the top of the forum so that we can find quick fixes to any problems we encounter. I found that information buried deep in another post by someone from Bioware.

Maybe it crashed because you have a terrible pc/ps3...
