I cant get past the loading screen.  It freezes everything up.  I have to almost restart my computer every time.  I tried every setting from low to high, vsync, windowed.  Nothing works.  Help please...

What are your system specs? Version of Windows?

 Do you have User Access control on? Make sure it's disabled completely. This may help.

Just did it. It still froze on the loading screen.

I got the same problem, on my Windows 7 machine.
The demo freezes during the "Red Dragon" intro cinematics, just after the Bioware logo appears.
To recover I have to go to task manager and terminate DA2.

I found a workaround by disabling the intro videos in the options: if you go in the settings menu, under graphics, you will find a thick box to disable the intro cinematics and then it should work.
Note that this DOES NOT prevent you from seeing the in game cinematics, only the introduction ones, so the demo experience is not affected (as far as I could tell).

I hope this helps and I really hope they fix it in the release.
