First let me say that this isn't a deal breaker for me, although it is
fairly annoying, but as per topic, I found a fairly large number of
'Loading...' occurances in the demo even within scenes as character
models were about to pan into view.
Watching the games resource usage on the other monitor, I noted that the game never attempted to use anything much over 480mb.
What I'm hoping (although admittedly not in the holding-my-breath kind of way) is that this is a limitation of the demo
so that one code-base would be (more or less) sufficient for the PC and
360 releases. I'm hoping that is the case and that the full PC version will be able to use more memory when it is available so as to not have to mini-load all the time.
Is this the case, or will the in-scene loads carry across to retail PC launch as well? If so; any plans to fix it with patches post launch?
Thanks for your time.
what I saw in the demo; seeing screenshots or even video just didn't do
the game enough justice when held up in comparison to actually being
able to experience it. Complaints aren't what ya'll want to hear, nor
are they what I want to deliver, so I thought it important to say as well that despite the niggle above, I did very much love the experience nonetheless.
I'm amazed at how much better it looks while also performing a whole lot better than DA:O, aforementioned problem aside.
Take care,
--Nait,.
PS: Wasn't quite sure if this was more appropriate in general or technical. It is kind of a technical issue; but it's not really a 'problem' in the sense that it prevents my play. Went with technical for now; but feel free to move if general deemed more appropriate.
