Ive been waiting for what... 2 years now? for a pc port. it seems this game will never come to pc and its such a shame. please tell me im really not missing anything.

I stopped caring about the Fable series when Lionhead announced Fable 3 while plans of Fable 2 port are not even laid out.

Perhaps one day I'll try emulate the game and play it on PC with improved resoultion and graphics. Perhaps.

well its really a shame because i enjoyed the first fable and i was very excited when the 2nd fable was announced. why lionhead chose to alienate their pc customers after such titles as black and white ill never know. its a real shame imo.

piracy is an issue but if u make a good game people will buy it. i buy anything bioware makes because i know the quality is always there. basically, if u arent trying to fck over ur customers they wont fck u over.

It has something to do with Microsoft. I guess Microsoft views Fable series as an Xbox-exclusive series is more profitable than releasing it on multiple platforms.

You're not missing anything, just like with the first Fable.

Yes, it was an enjoyable game, but surely you can't tell me that buying a console for a single game would be worth it either?

Na I'm a PC gamer. Theres nothing on the 360 or ps3 that I'd want to play aside from Fable 2. Atleast I know I'm not missing much. It's a shame that Lionhead chose to do this to the fans of the series and that they dont understand how much money they lost by not porting it to the pc.

Fable 2 is one of the best rpg's on the Xbox and probably the best Xbox game of 2008. You are missing out. I couldn't stand Fable 1, but if you liked that game, your mind will explode when you see the world Lionhead have made for Fable 2. It's everything Fable 1 should have been and so much more.

Fable 2 was a great game, but it was lacking in some area's. (for example the game was short) Other than that I found the game to be fun.

PS. (not really a spoiler but don't read if you want everything to be a suprise)

When you finish the game you are going to be shocked and maybe a little fustrated, but think about why it ended like that (spoillerr: read every other letter ) Laujcdihekn djiaejs ifn osnde skhdokt (end spoiler)

Disliked Fable 2 immensely, no personality to lead character at all, and the gimmicks get boring after a couple of hours, only so many times you can use the emotes. In a right of its own it's a good game, but depends what you are looking for. I need a story and interaction.

Albion is quite a happy and joyous place but there is a darker edge to things in Fable 2. I actually found the storyline really engaging and archie wholly understates just what you have to do and the sacrifices you have to make along the road before reaching that final moment. At the very end you have to make a very difficult and heart wrenching decision. That was a rare moment where I felt the weight of a world on my shoulders.

You also shouldn't overlook all the quirky amazing things you can do to occupy yourself with in Albion. It was fun to get the people swooning over you. Those ridiculous work mini games might've been tedious at times, but once you scraped enough money together to start buying up homes and businesses. The dog is actually ingenious and fun to play with/make use of. You can start up a family and quite literally have a kid and see it grow up.

The world of Fable 2 is just really well fleshed out. Simply put, it's a completely unique experience. It's hard to compare it with something like DA or anything else because most rpg's are these incredibly detailed works of fantasy, whilst Fable is more akin to an interactive fairytale.

I quite liked Fable II, but it is in no way worth buying a 360 just for this game. I have to agree that what I spoiler above say definitely made for a very unsatisfying final boss.

Well, I love everything about Fable, since I beat one and two.. I'll be forced to buy another 360 for 3. I am THAT into it.

Why?

Everyone I know has had theirs repaired by Microsoft, even people out of warranty.

Unless you modded yours?

I liked Fable 2 a lot, but no game is worth buying a console for. Except maybe Mass Effect ;)

Exactly, plus it runs smoother on pc. And Mass Effect 1 and 2 is multi platform anyway

You are not missing anything with Fable 2. It's short, shallow and simplified. Also it's not as good as the first.

However, it IS fun at times, if you don't care to get involved in the story and just want to run around and kill things, but other games are better for that imo.

I used to play Fable II and if you don't like playing an RPG with a real lack of seriousness...don't buy it...

You can do things like burp or fart...and seeminly most people enjoy when you do so...the story is also alittle messed up...and the 'strong' character...like shale in DAO, is a horribly obese 7 ft tall girl...I played it for a week and then I went out and demanded my money back from Gamestop...I still do not regret it to this day.

It's not worth buying a console over, but if you have a 360 and you like RPG's, then you are crazy not to play this game. It is very good.

I do hope they port the game to the PC one day, but odds are it will be after Fable 3 is released anyway.

Peter Molyneux doesn't trust gamers on the PC. I don't think I can really blame him, piracy was rampant on Fable 1 and Black & White 2. Heck, even I never found Fable 1 really "worth" the price-tag at the time it came out. The game was already old at that time.
