DA2 demo freezes PC

first my PC specs:
i5 760
GTX 460 768ram (up to date 266.58)
DDR3 6GB RAM
Vista 64 or Win 7 64 Ultimate (tested with both, both are up to date, I even installed win7 yesterday to have a clean OS)
G15 and G5 (if that matters)
I can play these games for hours, without nothing happening at high details with 30++ frames:
WoW, WC3, Aion, Mass Effect 2, Crysis: Warhead, Rift, Borderlands, Lost Planet 2, Resident Evil 5, Dead Space, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Metro 2033, CoD:MW2, SC2 ...the list goes on.
Everything runs fine, no errors, no crash to desktop or bluescreens.
My problem:
DA2 demo freezes my PC after a few minutes. It doesn't matter if I play in dx9 or dx11, fullscreen or windowed. I get a PC freeze even when the game is minimized. I watched temperature, cpu and ram usage and there is absolutly nothing. I even checken my windows event log right after the crash and before, for any errors, but there is nothing there. All that I get as a sign is: keyboard and mouse power off, my screen freezes, I cant do anything, I cant use task manager or anything, I dont get a bluescreen and PC doesnt reboot on its own. All I can do is to hit reset or power off button - and even that takes a while till pc shuts itself off or resets.
btw: I have the same Problem with DAO and DA:A. But since its the same engine, I guess its somewhat understandable.
Both games (da1 and da2) run at high setting, no performance issues, till that freeze.
Any ideas?

If that helps a bit: I tried to disable a few cores. with 2 to 3 cores disabled it SEEMS to run longer.
Since I have the same problem with Dragon Age 1, I tried to research and read a bunch of stuff, but nothing helped so far.

Same deal here, never happened with DA:O though but the same kind of crash happens on ME2.
I have over 800 hours logged into Team Fortress 2 and I never had a crash. The same goes for Fallout 3, Civ4, HL2... I could go on. Only DA2 and ME2 ever gave me this issue and they happen to be from the same company.

The second member to add a comment did not offer much that would be useful for that purpose.
Still another comment added had zero for useful information (a "me, too" waste of forum space), Still another of those was added after that. And still another one, the same. There were four of those by three days ago. A fifth one chimed in two days ago, equally devoid of useful information. An hour ago, someone whose birth language isn't English, or else it's someone who seems to think it's really funny to create weirdly misspelled words, added a comment that wasn't quite so totally wasteful, just MOSTLY a waste.

" Problem Details
a. When it comes to problem details, think about the five basic questions. Who? What? When? Where?
Why? Okay, so “Who?” doesn’t really apply here, but the others do.
b. What? What is the nature problem that you’re seeing?
c. When? When does the problem occur? Every time you engage in a particular action or only
after so many hours of play?
d. Where? Where does the problem occur? Is the problem localized to a particular planet or does
it occur everywhere?
e. Why? As much as possible, can you isolate the problem to a specific set of steps?
(This is from the proposed "Read Me First" for the coming DA2 Game's own Tech Forum.)

It happened when I was running in the modded demo, on DX11, so I'm not too surprised it happened. Hopefully it does no occur in the official game, cause I never have any crashes or anything in ME2, and most other games. DAO has been the first, and I hope it will just remain that.
Specs:
OS: Win 7 64bit Home Premium
CPU: Intel i5 quadcore (2.79 GHz)
1TB SATA II 3.0 GB 7200RPM HD
2GB DDR3 / 1600 MHZ MEMORY
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT

I had this happen once during DA2 demo. And happened A LOT for DAO (changing to just one core made it happen less frequently, but fiddling with it for a year now and it still happens on occassion).

The Dragon Age series uses its own game engine, different even than other Bioware games like Mass Effect 2. So yes, it will be have differently than any other games. Hopefully, if the demo is any indication, DA2's code appears to be more optimized, and hence more stable. We'll see next week, I suppose.
